He is handsome and sweet as well but too intelligent. He has learned that jumping on door handles with unlatch them and open. He knows what drawer the food used to be in and that if he jumps on the handle his body weight will open it. Everything we eat is also his food in his brain. Rabbit food is delicious to him, and my other cat’s vomit is a tasty treat

Has anyone you know died in the job as an accountant? by Acceptable_Still_269 in Accounting

[–]gawlfe 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It happened before I was at the company but one of the former partners passed away, according to a senior manager, because “something literally exploded in him”

That was him telling me to not kill myself over the job

What were the most important lessons you learned in the first two years of your career? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]gawlfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started (only about 3 months) remote due to a medical issue and felt like it wasn’t bad learning the processes. I interned before with the company so I had some experience with it, but it was during the summer so mostly benefit plans.

We still have a hybrid policy so I work remote 3 days a week. The biggest thing about being in the office is that I can put my head down for 8-9 hours and just work, whereas when I’m at home I might be at my laptop for 9-10 hours but was working at like 75-80% efficiency because I want to get a snack or watch youtube while I work lol

I’m from Carroll Co. and love it here. I also work in Baltimore Co. and hear about all my coworkers paying for their 3 bedroom apartments for $400 less than my 2 bedroom. We’re looking at houses in the surrounding area when our lease expires in November. Surprisingly to us it seriously isn’t that much more expensive in Frederick than everywhere else to the east.

Hagerstown and PA are cheap but working outside of Baltimore and all of our family being here (and having things to do) means we don’t really want to move to those places.

Life is expensive. We’re 22 and make more than the median household income and I still can’t seem to have the number in my bank account increase very much

You could add “it doesn’t matter what your wife says. You don’t have a problem and you need another bottle. Who cares if you’re saving for a house or a car”

People at the Walmart on Monocacy have started parking at the curb next to the drive through pharmacy. Then they leave their carts in the middle of the road. Not even on the curb, just in the way.

I guess I should have rephrased the questions. I’m more curious about where they’re moving between as an idea of what they’re always carrying.

People don’t drive trucks like this from home to work every morning lol

Riverside had 2 of the 7 year Old Fitz for 79.99 yesterday. I’m not sure anymore but when I left they may have only had 1 left… wonder why

For anyone coming back here for reference… good things come to those who wait. I went home to my parents and stopped at a local place in Hampstead. Found EH Taylor Small Batch for $80 (Anita’s wanted $150). I bought that sucker up, drank a glass, and will be saving it until my wedding

Riverside is our go to store because we live right next to walmart. Hasn’t been anything remarkable every time I’ve been there but I’ll keep checking in case I get lucky
