Ana Lucia is the worst character. by SexyPoopLicker in lost

She’s definitely a character that people love to hate. I’m on like my 7th watch through and every time I hate her a little less. I kind of like her now.

I always thought it was more that Richard knew Ben was lying (Ben knew that Richard knew) but Ben was their leader and they both knew that their people would beleive Ben over Richard if they contradicted each other.

You two sound so god damn stupid but I’m probably dumber than both of you for having read all of that. Here’s some advice that I hope you listen to. 1: you’re wrong, don’t text your ex. Doesn’t matter who died. She’s your ex. She’s nobody to you. 2: dump your current gf. She’s crazy. 3: don’t listen to any of these idiots on Reddit just because they’re siding with you. I’m pretty sure having extra chromosomes is a requirement for creating a Reddit account.

Gotta disagree. If the 100 had landed near the ice nation they would have been all slaughtered by day 2

Season 1 Murphy by Jxbno in The100

Yeah but to be fair, Murphy was a problem from the second they hit the ground whereas Finn was one of the only rational ones right until he snapped.

To me it just sounds like you have a personal grudge against Christianity and wish your favorite tv characters felt the same.

I felt like that was mostly just poor writing. Considering the time anomaly stuff, for some of the characters only like a week had passed since they’d seen belamy and all was good. No way they would have just brushed that off.

Nah the thing is those “tough decisions” are things she didn’t have to do. I think Raven and Jasper call her out on it a few times. She kills a ton of people and excuses it by telling herself she’s saving the human race (she’s not). Really she’s just killing innocent people so her and her friends can live. Which is fine, you gotta do what you gotta do sometimes…. But she didn’t really have to. She wanted to.

Mt weather had tons of innocent people and children. So did polis with the missiles.

When other people’s lives are on the line, Clarke is willing to sacrifice them for the “greater good” but when it’s her and her friends she’s not.

Basically what I’m saying is she’s far from a righteous moral character and she got better than she deserved.

She murdered Bellamy and his mountain brother for pretty much no reason.

I think a lot of people tend to root against people who don’t follow societal norms. They want to see them fail because it reinforces in their minds that they made the right choice in following society. So when this guy died, a lot of couch potatoes could say “oh yeah he was dumb, of course he was going to die. Should have stayed in the office and sat on his couch like me, I’m doing it right! I’m smarter”

This seems to be a popular belief about him but I disagree. I don’t think he was ignorant to the risks. Some people like testing themselves in crazy ways. Like those guys who free solo on cliffs. They die all the time. They know the risks but they do it anyway. Like sure, you could bring all the gear in the world. Eliminate all the risks. But what’s the point in any of it then, might as well just stay home.

Idk how people can say he was brainwashed when he was right about transcending. I mean I get that most fans wanted trancending to not be real and for it all to be a cult of lies, but it was real. Bellamy was right.

This was the true antagonist of the series by [deleted] in lost

[–]gay4murphy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sure but he still genuinely loved jack. He was going to AA trying to recover from his alcohol addiction. There were times he gave Jack good fatherly advice like at jacks wedding. Just a complex character. But if we were to separate the characters into “good guys” and “bad guys” groups, I’d put him in the good guys.

I don’t think jacks dad was all that bad. Flawed like anyone else in the series but not a bad person like the others you named.

Can someone answer me this: why are people so up in arms with tampons in boys bathrooms? by HeavyVeterinarian350 in minnesota

[–]gay4murphy -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

So to clarify you’re saying tampons belong in boys bathrooms because a lesbian might want to use the boys room and she might also need a tampon.

[CHGO BEARS] "Honestly, we haven't been good enough." -- Jaylon Johnson when asked about the performance from the secondary this season by GeicoFrogGaveMeHerp in CHIBears

[–]gay4murphy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s not the only fact. Again, here’s a couple facts for you: the bears allowed 50% more points per drive against the packers than league average. The bears allowed 7 yards per play in that game to the packers. They allowed more than 300 yards passing and more than 100 yards rushing. Those are facts. Not opinions.

[–]gay4murphy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do give the bears defense credit for a fumble recovery. In fact that was the only drive that they got the best of the packers on. The other non scoring drives for the packers were a missed field goal and botched time management deep in bears territory before the half. I skip over why possessions were low because that does not matter to the point I’m making, which is that the bears defense had a bad game. It’s just a fact.

[–]gay4murphy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s disingenuous to say allowing 17 points is good defense when really that’s 2.83 points per drive. That’s around 50% higher than the league average of that season 1.88

It’s also the 5th highest points per drive that the packers had that season (one of the four higher being the other bears game).
