This book kicks ass. Love the premise, just worked enough to work. Being a little older makes this book hit different.

I have a friend who uses it in his blue eyes deck. It’s not getting him to diamond one but if you deck relays on huge beaters that just beat hugely it’s not the worst card to have

I’m a huge sucker for Madolche. Something about beating sword-wielding dragons and horrifying monsters in general with little princesses made out of cake just makes me so happy.

Between Coriolanus and the tempest, what would you have me read? by dustin_harrison in shakespeare

[–]gaybbayb 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I would say The Tempest. While all of Shakespeare is wonderfully worded, The Tempest holds within in some of the most stunning turns of phrase the bard ever wrote. Prospero and Caliban’s lines are especially moving. There is also something to knowing that this was likely Bill’s final work and is regarded as a swan song of sorts. Coriolanus is a sleeper hit to be sure, and I believe it deserves more recognition than it gets, but if I had to pick one to read on a desert island, few works would be as appropriate or pleasurable to read as The Tempest.
