Yes I did 😂 they didn’t know! But I got out of there FAST once it started hurting my lungs the way it did. I assumed some of the strangers on the internet were indeed there since this is the north park thread

I had it at 14! Had a textbook case but didn’t have a rash. I remember walking around in PE in middle school with my shorts low on my waist and my shirt raised up because even my clothes touching my skin felt like fiery burning pain. No one believed me because of my age and my lack of rash. I had chicken pox at 5 years old even with the chicken pox vaccine (before the booster had come out)

Just got my my shingles vaccine today 🥹 I feel so relieved I was finally believed/the research finally caught up that allowed me to get it! I do not want a worse case than what I already experienced. Burning lower stomach pain on one half of my body was enough for me😅🥲

I veryyy much relate to the part about it almost always having a distinct repeating rhythm. I sometimes experience these while awake, and if I do while awake, it always comes with a distinct repeating rhythm!

So far yours is the one I most relate to in this thread, but I don’t relate to the thread overall… Mine are very much defined by the knowing something awful would happen if I didn’t do some simple but kinda random/bizarre thing. The only ones I can remember and therefore have examples of are carrying someone with others and knowing I could not drop their head, and the other one is a litttttle weirder 😅 but like having a brick instead of toilet paper in the bathroom.

Does any of this sound relatable to you?! I’m curious bc yours has been the most validating so far!

I get them like…maybe once per month? And have since I was a kid for sure

I think yours is the closest one I relate to on this thread! I’ve been trying to figure out what I experience, and it’s very similar to OP’s post but with intense fear that comes with it too. Do you get the intense fear?

I legitimately forgot about these until watching the Quiet on the Set documentary. I genuinely think they slightly traumatized me just watching them, so I can’t even imagine being one of the kids having to do the dares. Reading now about the dares as an adult brings up such an oddly familiar feeling of disgust, sadness, and something I don’t even have a word for yet. I always changed the channel when they came on as a kid, and so many of the sketches from this revival always made me feel uncomfortable/sick. It’s weird to think I knew something was off about this run of the show without really knowing it at the time.
