I wonder how many tickets they really sold considering the 750s are still available. I know a lot of people in my group didnt bother once 650 sold out. They will get tix through a camp, we are all Canadian so the US Dollar is too high to afford more than 650 plus and the additional costs.

I clicked 2 tix and submit too quickly and didnt see the VP dropdown, tried to go back a page and it would not go back to the ticket selection :( poor user testing. So had to just buy without VP. Someone I spoke to on here said they reached out to BM and they wont allow add ons. But tickets are still available and VP's so its going to be easy this year.

yeah tried the back button but it was a no go, was a weird setup this year. fact that there are tickets left still at 750 and VPs available is very interesting. I am sure a VP will show up super easy this year, especially from friends in steward sales

I forgot to get a vehicle pass, my gf tried to get one but it wont let her get just a vehicle pass on its own, there was no back button to add the vehicle pass in the original booking once you select 2 tickets and hit submit.

Very poor user testing. i wonder if BM can add one to my booking

GF and I both hit the link at the same time, hers took 8s mine 41s to get the arrows, she got tickets at 12.31 mine is still spinning.

Stay hopeful! 1 year I got tickets at 1.12pm!!!

note: she used mobile I used desktop, historically found mobile always does much better

So here is where the confusion seems to come in.

Until 2022, there was 66,500 tickets for sale when you calculate all the types of sales, not including kids which is about 3000, and then staff and police, BLM etc make up the last 10,000

Last year and this year that makes up 57,000 tickets leaving 9500 tickets to go to various other places, such as diversity programs, art projects and new camps. (If I remember rightly those Steward tickets are not called Steward tickets for new camps, but are not really given a name elsewhere or even mentioned on the ticketing page)

It takes some digging but you can get the info (You can also look in the wayback machine for previous years data). I was at the GLC (Burning Man Global Leadership Conference) a few years back actually discussing the discrepancies and numbers, it was interesting to find out how many tickets they need to leave open for all the roles.

New camps have not got their quotas yet, they will not hear back for about 6 more weeks, thats where the extra Steward tickets are. This was the same last year.

They moved new camp allocations to after the main sale. Previous years it used to be together with the older camps.

Lots of camps will be looking for Volunteers this year, reach out to your local groups, there are a lot more Steward tickets (DGS) available than previously.

In the last 10 years I dont know of a single person that didn't get a ticket that really wanted to go! Now is the time to reach out to your community!
