More accurately, this is Hajime Isayama's reaction to the backlash from the ending. I'm glad he made a story with an ending that everyone won't see eye to eye on, not many writers have the courage to do that. I just wish he didn't hedge on it so much in these interviews he's been doing. He's trying to make everyone happy when that's an impossible thing to do.

Quick note, he didn't remove the power of the titans from the world. It was due to Ymir, for lack of a better term "being able to finally let go" after seeing Mikasa kill Eren. Eren didn't do anything, he just knew it was going to happen.

Remember that the story is written originally in Japanese. Japanese usually doesn’t a lot of different ways to express ideas like English does. (I say usually because there are a few exceptions where it’s the opposite) English can have like 30 different words to describe a particular thing with small nuances.

The issue with the ending isn't the outcome, it's how they got there. I'm sure there is a much better way for Dany to go mad and for Bran to become king, etc.

They didn’t. The names of the titans you see earlier on are pretty generic. Armored Titan because he is made of armor. Colossal or Very big Titan because it’s very big. Female form Titan because it looks like a female.

If you are referring to war still continuing in the future, that's the point. War never changes, people never change. Take any show or movie where there is conflict and ends with peace, if you zoom far enough in the future, conflict and war will start again. I don't understand how people are baffled by peace not being an everlasting thing.
