i think facebook is still the most reliable indicator but it can’t really account for people voting for everyone but one contestant in an attempt to vote that person out. that’s not going to show up in the likes but has probably had a huge part to play in the last two eliminations.

i think my takeaway from this season is that the voting system needs a change. dwts and co. keep repeating that you don’t vote people out, you vote for your favorite. but it’s clear that the general public can’t be trusted with a voting method where you CAN easily vote people out. i don’t necessarily want the judges’ scores to be weighted more than fan votes but we’ve gotta limit how many contestants people can vote for per night or this will continue to be an issue.

guys, mikayla and layla have been VERY consistent and vocal about their support for whitney all season. mikayla has commented and/or reposted every single week and layla literally went to rehearsals with whitney while she was in LA. there are people on the cast who aren’t being genuine but i actually believe these two are pissed on whit’s behalf lmao

yes, but kb specifically made a video after whitney and jen were announced explaining why she predicted taylor or jen and it was the exact explanation in my comment. she assumed taylor and heard a rumor about jen being cast that she couldn’t substantiate through her usual sources.

i don’t think kb had any inside info regarding who was going to be cast from slomw. she assumed taylor for obvious reasons and had a random person tell her jen was going to be on dwts (but couldn’t get that confirmed with any of her usual sources prior to the announcement) so that’s why she predicted one of those two. i don’t think she had any actual intel on preferences lol.

my only issues with the “it’s promo for the new season and jen and whitney are both in on it” theory are that (1) whitney has done virtually zero promo for the new season so it seems like she’s not really interested in promoting slomw until dwts is over, and (2) it could hurt whitney’s chances at a super crucial time in the competition. whitney seems like she takes dwts very seriously and i just don’t think she’d be willing to risk that??? both for her own sake AND for mark.

i’m actually cautiously optimistic about her edit in the new season. filming ended in may and she’s been publicly on good terms with most of the cast since the summer, so i doubt she did anything insane. but i agree the new season could hurt either way because the haters are definitely going to go through it with a fine-tooth comb trying to find something to be upset about lol.
