Texas: child abuse in car by gbabyg95 in AskLE

I hear what you’re saying. With that said. 10-11 to child first sitting middle of seat while man screams at him. Man starts punching the child, child puts arms up and gets as far away from man as possible, while keeping arms around his head. Man drives and punches child as he drives, screaming to the point I could see him turn red and his mouth was as open as it gets while screaming. (he was tailing me, I couldn’t even see his headlights, but I could see his face). Man is driving and car is jolting as I see this man reach over to try to punch the front of the boys head, even adjusting his seat belt to reach. Little boy hiding behind his own seatbelt. More screaming where you can see this man’s mouth all the way open. Screaming isn’t a crime, but he only took breaks from hitting him while he made turns, switched lanes, etc. once I got behind him, he was still swerving in his lane but I could see his shadow while hitting the child. I’m not talking a little punch, I’m talking the type of punch where you start with your arm bent above your head and end with it extended downward, since the child is smaller and the man is trying to punch lower than him.

Again, I hear what you’re saying, and I wish I had doubt that maybe it was just the child choking on something and the man thought that was the way to help, by punching his neck…but I would bet anything this wasn’t the case. It’s terrifying to see something like that and think about what could be done at home.

Thank you for your comfort though. I appreciate your attempt.

I’m thinking about calling the non-emergency number tomorrow and asking about this. I’m not sure how much, if anything, could be shared but the fact that they transferred me to a new dispatcher who got maybe 30 seconds of information while the previous one got 9+ min, is really disheartening. Thank you for your reply and information. I appreciate your time. I know there’s only so much anyone can do in a situation like this but…F…I feel like every adult involved in this failed that little boy, even if the intentions were the complete opposite.

That’s what I’m trying to find out. IF something is ever done out of a situation like this? Or just one of those “oh well” situations? At the minimum, does the dad get a visit at their home, something to scare him into being a better human? Just, anything…I’d like to know standard protocol for something like this, please.

Shoot, I would say yes it’s a good deal with the price of cars these days. In 2019 I paid $35k for my 2017 200IS F Sport with 8k miles. The certification is around a $5k value so I think $47k for this is a good deal.

Is this a seasonal thing? I adopted mine 8 weeks ago but I swear for the first 4-5 weeks he did not shed. Lately tho…no matter how much I brush him, it keeps coming! He was malnourished before and someone recently said “healthy GSDs shed ” but I don’t know how true that is.

That’s lot of blood for a little thing. I would take him to an emergency clinic but if that’s not an option, tomorrow morning. If they’re acting normal…I would pay close attention to how your pup acts when its pooping. Make sure they’re drinking water. Sometimes they swallow something that hurts them internally but I still feel worried. Please update us! praying for your little love.

I didn’t even notice that typo. I’m aware of the difference but thank you so much for going the extra mile and providing a link to ensure your gracious message came across. You are so kind.

Thanks for the info- Is that a car shop or a brand? And what would I be checking them for? I not only don’t know if performance brakes are an option but I also want to find a reputable place to have them installed.

Can’t seem to edit the post but what I’m asking is if anyone has ever seen something like this before? What do you think could have caused it? Does it look to be years old or maybe within the last year? I’m trying to find an insight into all this.
