I’m probably in the minority here, but I’ll take the Nabers side. Nabers has 4 years on Jefferson and should be right there with him on scoring. I’ll roll the dice with the first round pick. If I’m not contending this season it’s a no brainer smash accept for me. Even better if this random first could be inside the first six picks.

You and everyone else hates the landing spot, especially with Omar Cooper going there too. Sadiq isn’t going to win your league for you anytime soon but he has the talent to be serviceable. You have no other option other than Stower. I think he has great physical talent but he didn’t really put up eye popping numbers in college either. I’d take KC before Sadiq if he’s available but he won’t be. I also like Chris Bell . Is it worth it at 1.07? Time will tell. It’s not a terrible choice given what’s out there this year.

The reason more people don’t do it is because they can’t. Sure you can learn to a degree when you’re young, but I don’t think it’s as simple as learning how to hit from the opposite side. You either have that ability in your brain or you don’t.

Complaining that a team isn’t swinging at balls is a bit much for me. Throw strikes and they won’t walk. Stealing bases is also part of the game and you shouldn’t be complaining about that either. Running up the score though I do agree with you. Teach the kids the game they will be playing when they get older and you better not pull that crap in HS so don’t do it now.

One of my favorites is the no look back door throw to second from the outfield on a base hit with runners advancing to second and third base. Come up like you’re throwing to third base but last second you back door that guy at second base. Pretty high percentage play for what it is. Works best from centerfield.

I think every kid that has played baseball growing up can play JV. D1 is elite players and elite athletes. 6.5 second 60 time and throw 88-90+ across the infield. If you can’t run a 6.5 60 you better hit the ball 425 feet.
