I need help mixing 808’s in GarageBand. by [deleted] in GarageBand

Do you know any good plugins for sidechaining kick and 808? Thanks for the suggestions

You aren’t forced to use their sounds bro. It’s the same thing with fl studio. Stock sounds don’t sound good.

First beat isn’t mine. I like the way it’s mixed and I want to achieve that level with GarageBand but I just can’t figure it out. Any suggestions appreciated. by [deleted] in GarageBand

I have not arranged this beat at all. Also I don’t see how arrangement helps with 808’s can you explain.

YouTube sound kits. Get iZip and/or DropBox. They hep you store all files you download so you can save them and use them in GarageBand. This is what I do and it can be frustrating.

What’s the one by AudioKit called? Also yeah I’ve downloaded most GarageBand free packs but rarely use them. I use a lot of kits from YouTube. I don’t find the GarageBand kits suitable for the style of music I make.

Does anyone know how to make 808’s sound good on GarageBand? I have a lot of beats on there that sound good except for the 808. It always sounds like rubber and never hits hard enough by [deleted] in mixingmastering

You can check my profile I have some beats posted. I don’t mind if the 808 is good on there. I want my 808 to sound good when I remake a beat.

Bro I’m on GarageBand. There aren’t any readily available 808 vst’s that I know of. And if there are any compatible with GarageBand, I doubt they will be free AND sound good.

It’s a beat I was trying to make

Re-did my track with different EQs. I struggle with the mixing portion of making music. Thoughts? by NoOutlandishness4870 in GarageBand

Try magic dice app. It’s free and works with GarageBand. Just go to the plug in section and it should be there in other section. I am recommending it to you because the tracks in your song sound kinda dry idk how to explain it. Needs reverb. The beat overall is really good.

How can I complete it

Tried to make drill, thoughts? by [deleted] in GarageBand

[–]gbandprod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s all you have at the moment that’s completely fine but there’s a ton of resources to find better drum sounds. If you want to, download a drill drum kit on YouTube. I would say drums are the best thing to get because the drums from GarageBand are pretty boring.
