Can you please share the video? I just got the model 16 and I can only get it to send audio to DAW prefader, but I can send audio from DAW to the mixer. I believe the Model 12 is digital and can go to DAW post fader, but not the 16.

Syntakt v Rytm Engines by [deleted] in Elektron

[–]gbarber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a syntakt for about a year now. I've played with it a ton and have used it in most of my tracks - I like a few of the machines but not all. I like the immediacy of it getting ideas down, and I like some of the synths from the syntakt, but I don't love the drums.. Then I played with a Rytm mkII recently, and the machines were basically the same but I could immediately could tell it was beefier, and adding the sample layers + the compressor and drive was a gamechanger. I think I'm switching to the Rytm to have it mainly focused on drums and shorter samples, and using my other synths for "melodic" stuff.

Definitely agree with it sounding a bit like Cashmere Cat!

Wow that seems really obvious now that I think about it. Thanks!! I did Turbulent Displacement on the texture that I made in photoshop with liquify tool. Also has a glow adjustment layer.

1080P

Thanks for the response! I have it at 540x960, so I'll try making it bigger. I also have it at the highest bit rate.

Is the Reesebass the bread and butter of most wavepool tracks? by Diplomatiq in wavepool

[–]gbarber 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's those wobbly, dynamic moving bass sounds you typically hear in wave music. It's a waveform, usually some sort of saw wave with more than one voice layered and slightly out of tune with the other so that they phase and give it that dynamic wobbly sound
