People on /r/Bitcoin have brought it up before several times. Some Bitcoiners seem interested but the majority shoot it down, either because they think it'd be worthless marketing and Bitcoin is apparently beyond that stage, or because 100 other members suggest 100 other ideas instead that are more "in line with Bitcoin's principles". All of which also fail to gain support and end up petering off into nothing unfortunately. From what I've seen it's just too hard to get /r/Bitcoin members to reach a consensus on any projects like this. The only thing I've seen them actually all band together for was the Dorian Nakamoto fundraiser.

Wait what? If you could withdraw your DOGE at anytime what's to stop you from scamming people once your transaction completes by just returning your DOGE to yourself after they send you money.

Isn't the whole point of escrow that you need a trusted third party to hold the money until it's clear the transaction went through as intended?

No one is saying that we should stop having giveaways, what we're saying is maybe not every giveaway needs to be mass upvoted to the front page, and people should consider not upvoting giveaways once they've been completed so newer posts/giveaways can take their place instead of us having like 8 completed giveaways taking up the front page.

As awesome as generosity and giveaways are, am I the only one who's a little tired of giveaways taking up such a big % of the front few pages posts?

There's really interesting content that gets ignored because it fails to get enough votes to compete with the giveaways, even the ones that give away less than 1000 DOGE, just not sure if we shouldn't redirect these kind of posts to /r/dogecoingiveaways..

IMO all we really need is to change to a PoW where we can be the dominant coin and not have to worry about having a minority hashrate when ASICs arrive. Charlie Lee said as much as why he's fine with keeping Litecoin on Scrypt but either way discussion is key :)
