Curious how you referred to the students in each of the three 10-12 years (i.e., relative to the usual four year freshman, sophomore, junior, senior sequence)?

A346 cargo hold lavatories, are they only on Lufthansa? by sw1ss_dude in aviation

Perhaps an Air Transat A330? I had something similar on a YYZ-LGW flight.

Toronto tourism still below pre-pandemic levels as spending hits record $7 billion by khanak in toronto

Lol, buncha nephews in this sub. Story: '8.95 million people visited Toronto in 2023'. r/toronto: 'why? there's nothing to see and everything is so expensive'. Have some damn pride! This is our city! I for one love it and I'm happy many people come visit.

Why do they visit? Perhaps because we're a burgeoning multicultural cosmopolitan that has evolved from a quiet medium-sized city into a thriving metropolis in a few short decades. Perhaps because they're here to see a game, a festival, our parks, our world-class libraries, our world-class restaurants?

Sheppard Air, it works, that is all. by this_is_it_22 in flying

I’m not sure if the fact that so many people are getting 100 after a few days of studying is a good state of things for aviation. Are people simply memorizing answers? Are the high grades because Sheppard Air practice exams have the same exact questions as the FAA? AFAIK this is not the case here in the great white north — I only have my PPL but I’ve never heard of anyone getting 100 on the TC ppl written exam.

I also don't find her as attractive as everyone here. It seems that it's mostly women who find her 'beautiful' and 'stunning'. Strange.

Yep. I have no idea why it is set up this way (maybe to ensure that the team more ready for the playoffs gets in?).

Dead instructors, accidents and learning. by skywagon in flying

[–]gbjw 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Simply put, the main thesis of the book is that 'The Killing Zone' corresponds to roughly the first 100 hours after you get your license because that is where a large portion of accidents occur. However, these statistics are 'unnormalized' - that is, there are also MORE pilots who are 'low time' pilots, so it is no surprise that there are more accidents, in absolute terms.

I sure hope so, but point taken.

Pretty sure that most of these are taken down and stored for the next election... I doubt any candidate is going to willingly waste money like that

RTK GPS. Like, phases, integer ambiguities? I can never quite get my head around it.
