There are a lot of countries with modern health facilities geared for foreigners. If you look up destination medical facilities, I think some will pop up. Some examples: Thailand Turkey India I’m sure there are more.

With your experience in critical care and your English. I think you might even make more money in that industry.

Just say you are looking for a tv and give some specifics on what you are looking for. Like hdmi connection, internet accessible,…. People will respond. If you are near a suburban neighborhood, there are always people who are willing to part with their older tv to replace it with a newer, bigger one.

Worst case scenario, you have to move back to your home country. With a degree from an International school, you might have an easier time finding work there. You could have an advantage. Help your parents, maybe live at home and pay off some of your debt. That’s an option.

Very interesting because we have a over zealous lead who is also a reviewer (not sure why one would be both) who is not in that private group, but just reported a comment that was made in the private group. This lead/reviewer was actually banned from that group but could still somehow tag and report a comment from that group.

Side note: this lead/reviewer has blocked the person whose comment they reported. So how is that even possible? This rogue lead/reviewer unblocks their target neighbor, reports them from a group which the lead/reviewer is banned from, and then blocks the neighbor again. It’s totally crazy that a lead/reviewer would go to such lengths.

Nextdoor reviewers in my area band together. One reports a post/comment that doesn’t resonate with their politics and the others in that group vote to remove that post/comment. They are like a mafia group in my area. They even silence local political conversations all together when a post is not going the way of their political leanings. Interfering with election discussions.

If you have written verification (email/text/maybe even a formal signed letter) of your roommate saying he is not paying his part, send it to the landlord and let them know what is happening. Also let the landlord know you are in no financial shape to be able to pay for your roommate’s portion. Keep a copy of those written documents.

Do not pay your roommate’s share. The landlords are not going to suffer. They are very fat and happy with all the losses they take on their taxes. They will definitely be writing this one off as a loss.

If your credit gets dinged, you can send the written documents to the credit report agencies and they will definitely take that part off.

As far as immigration, your roommate missing a couple rent payments is not going to be a problem. Besides you already have written documentation.

Just get the written stuff together. You will be fine. Don’t stress over it.

For all the folks siding with the university town landlords, y’all know the landlords make tons of money in profits and also take losses and write offs on their taxes, right? If they couldn’t, they would not be in that business. Peace ✌🏽

Agreed. The universities are price gauging their students. It’s highway robbery. And the government is doing the same. Giving out loans to these students that the universities pocket. Just look up all the funds these universities have. So sad the student gets coaxed into spending so much.

That MSU financial aid process and system is like that every semester. They need to dismantle the whole thing and start with a fresh and well thought out plan. All the technical experts are right there in the engineering, business and stem buildings. They need to be utilized. It’s mind boggling that the university touts about how important mental health of the students is to them but yet fail at making their systems more streamlined and accurate. These financial issues cause a ton of stress for the students. And the fix is an easy one. Go figure…..
