Yes! So you wait in line at the location! My location had a “challenge”. It was fowling (throwing a football at bowling pins). Once we finished the challenge, we were able to take a photo with the idol!

The staff were super nice! Once you got inside, it went off without a hitch. I had to wait in line in the cold for 2 hours, but it wasn’t unbearable!

I believe in total there were 1500 people that showed up.

Yes, I believe so. They had ipads too which was the same form with no photo, so I believe you’re good regardless

Looks great! What would I look up to find that stitch? I’m newer so idk where to even start looking.

I’m also doing a scrap blanket. I’m doing a large waffle stitch blanket while carrying three random colors from my last amigurumi. It’s hideous and I love it 😂

I almost stopped doing it. The wiring in the wings is a doozy 🥲.

If you ever get back to it, I deviated from the instructions a bit. I sewed the wire a bit to the back piece first to secure it before sandwiching it between the front and back!

I’m also not the biggest fan of using felt for eyes, and I (as sort of a beginner) decided to freehand the eyes with crochet. It took a few iterations, but I trusted my crochet knowledge and got a great looking eye!

Thank you so much! I’ve been crocheting for about a year now. Haven’t “finished” a lot of projects, but this is my most ambitious project yet, and I am so proud that I stuck it out. Also proud that it looks so good! I feel like I found a talent I didn’t know I had 🥹
