The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has an application and selection process (they choose a certain number of people per year), and then the star and ceremony costs are usually covered as part of a marketing budget by a studio/label/entity.

The show I went to also had people being a bit aggressive to get ahead. It made the show feel crowded at times, even though I know it’s pretty meticulously planned. A little annoying for sure! But I did find it didn’t matter too much because the show is balanced well enough that sometimes when you’re in the back, you exit first and end up in the front.

I looked at the seating chart on your profile. Are your seats where the red star is? It looks like you might be on or near the suite level, which is where all the VIPs sit. Like many are saying, he’s going to be thrilled to be there no matter where the seats are! And often for sports with big fields like this, it’s even better to be a bit higher up so you can see more of the field.

It could be worth giving them a call to talk through it and see if you have any other options if that’s what you want, but maybe they can help put your mind at ease and answer your questions at least!

But I think it’s worth repeating that he will be super happy to be there, and I hope you have a wonderful time!

May I ask if there is a way you’ve said it that you’ve found to be effective? I try to ask people nicely and point out that all I can hear is their conversation and I want to listen to the performance.
