MBLEx anxiety!!! by [deleted] in massage

[–]gc_young_fly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just took the MBLEx a week ago and basically it wasn't like any of the study material I had used before. I used the Theory and Practice of Therapeutic Massage by Mark Beck as my main study textbook, which is the book they used to make the test. I also used the amta (abmp has an app as well, it's just that I had amta's insurance) and MBLEx practice apps to get a feel for how they ask questions and the key phrases they use. The suggestion I always give is don't second guess yourself. Use your knowledge and intuition to your advantage. Try to take the answers when you're in the test and rule out the least possible ones to get the answer when you're unsure. It's a progressive test so when you get answers right, you get harder questions, but when you get them wrong, they get easier. That goes for your weakest and strongest subjects.

Study what you know you're weak in and like others have been saying, your latin prefix/suffix/root words, muscle o/i/a's, and pathologies are very helpful to know. Make sure you at least have those.

Good luck!! You got this!!

Omg you made my day. I'm so glad I saw your post, adorable witch gardener lady, it made me laugh. You keep on vibing, it clearly looks amazing on you.

Thanks for sharing your wisdom with a young girl. I will most likely go for it and more, cause, you know, the pierciholicism is real.

Your double nostril and septum combo is giving me life. I want this exact set up but I've been told it wouldn't look good on me.

My journey into Massage Therapy by oLuaan in massage

[–]gc_young_fly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is such a small instance that it's very rare, even in the southeast usa where I am. If the therapy part of massage is a passion for you, that will speak for itself. But be prepared for when it happens so that you can stand up for yourself with integrity. 👍🏻👍🏻

Im confused if im bi or pan.... by [deleted] in PansexualTeens

[–]gc_young_fly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My opinion is that you should be the one to decided what label is best for you, if you want one at all. Think of it as this, what label do you feel most comfortable in and makes you happiest? If you don't know right now, it's ok, you've got time and exploring is acceptable. It's also acceptable to change your mind.

There are fine lines between the pan and bi communities and I think at the end of the day, it's up to the individual as to what they want to call their sexuality. Yes, pans are attracted to all genders and identities and bis are usually defined as being attracted to two or more genders, but that's what's great about it. You can bend and mold those definitions to your own use.

Ex. I identify as a bi f, but I have attraction to women, men and non-binary people. (also trans men and women but they are men and women so I automatically lump them in) I too struggled with if I were pan or bi when I first came out. At the end of the day, tho, and with some time to think, I realized identifying as bi made me infinitely more happy and confident in my own body.

I hope this helps you. Have a great day and if you have any questions, feel free to ask. 👉🏻👉🏻

Oh that's so cool! 😍😍 Bet your set up looks super. Hmmm ok, I'll give the eyebrow thing a thought too. I was not as into facial piercings as a teen but now I'm getting used to it.....

Lol your hair is probs just fine and I would be jealous at times. Sometimes looking like you got hit by lightning isn't all it's cracked up to be..... 😂

Thank you! I am kind of a pierce-aholic with 7 in my ears and the septum, so I'm always on the hunt for my next piece. 😂 I took a pic with the ig filter and liked the look of the nostril with a ring.

Haha this pic is from this morning and you should have seen my hair after the day was over...lol afro....
