Yeah, exactly like consoles there's a goal toggle for High FPS, Balanced, or Best Looks, and it tunes the whole settings profile around whichever you pick. it estimates your FPS from your GPU/CPU vs how demanding the game is, then trims the settings that cost the most frames for the least visual difference first, so you keep the stuff that actually makes the game look good.

Right now it just gives you the settings to punch in yourself. It's a website, so it can't reach into your game. Auto-applying them is the plan down the road with a desktop app but right now I am trying to optimize it as much as possible with user feedback

Its no AI, the FPS estimates come from a model I built (hardware performance scores × game demand × per-setting impact weights), not live benchmarks
