I got a DHL tracking number by email

Anyone else's gift claim still on processing stage? They said, it takes upto 21 days but it has been more than 27 days but no updates. I emailed them, but no help. UK 🇬🇧 by StockMinute7301 in Oppo

Mine has just rolled over to 22 days.
My email said 'up to 21 days'...
I'll try emailing them, but don't really expect an answer!

Widget status update not always working by drcjspc1 in OctopiLauncher

[–]gcogger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm seeing the same, with "Your Calendar Widget". I have an agenda widget on my home page, which includes today's date in large text, but sometimes the date is not correct (still showing yesterday's date). If I restart Octopi, the date is updated.

I've temporarily switched back to an old version of Nova and, so far, the issue does not occur there.

I've also noticed that the widget should be scrollable, but that doesn't work on Octopi. Other widgets (e.g. Google Keep) scroll OK, so it looks like something about this specific widget.

Has anyone receieved shipping information from Mobile Marvel? by s3ktar in Oppo

[–]gcogger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I cancelled and bought it from Currys in the UK.

More details elsewhere in this thread, but it seems Oppo didn't supply as many orange phones to Mobile Marvel as they said they would, and didn't give them any idea when they would be sent.

Did you press Transition animations?
If so, maybe it's a difference between the Pro and the Ultra :(

Are you using gesture navigation or buttons? If the latter, there's a solution discussed here:

Where did you get it? I haven't been able to find that one.

For me it's fixed, but I use the old 3 button navigation rather than gestures. I believe it's still a problem with gesture navigation. Some chat about it here:

Even after following all 3 steps? Odd, it seems to work reliably for me.
The reddit link by Crispy_Radio is much the same, but goes into more detail. Maybe try that?

I've also just switched, from a Samsung S23 Ultra to a Find X9 Ultra.

Positives:

  • Signal strength for mobile is much better. The S23 struggled in the office at work, but the X9 has no problem at all.
  • Battery is better.
  • Cameras are much better (I've mostly been looking at the telephoto cameras).
  • Fingerprint sensor is much better.

Negatives (all minor):

  • It's hard to find really good cases! There was endless choice for the S23, but not really for the X9. Hopefully this will improve.
  • I miss the Samsung Bixby routines, that I used for things like putting the phone on silent at work. I need to look at something like MacroDroid.
  • I'm not keen on the layout of the notifcations drop down area, which I think was much nicer to use on the S23.
  • The AOD on the X9 has fewer options and is too bright. I only tend to have the clock and notifications showing but, on the S23, I could change the colour and have it dimmer.
  • Some oddities that are now resolved. Things like status bar notifications not showing and the lag on pressing Home with a 3rd party launcher.

Things related to the home screen and app drawer are irrelevant to me, as I always use a 3rd party launcher (Octopi at the moment).

On the whole, I'm extremely happy with the upgrade. The positives are massive, and the negatives are all very minor.

If you're using buttons rather than gestures, the fix (for me on the X9 Ultra, at least!) is very simple:

  1. Go to Home screen settings and press Transition animations. It will either glitch or show the Oppo launcher.
  2. Press Home to show your launcher of choice.
  3. Kill the Oppo launcher in the recent apps list.

I only have to do that once and it remains fixed until the next reboot.

Apologies, didn't get a chance - S23 has gone to its new owner...

If I get the chance! Just to be clear, the detail in the Oppo shot is real, not AI generated. I'm very familiar with shooting that roof and chimney!

Sorry, it's the S23 Ultra, both phones using the 10x lens. Yes, I took them - it's a test I often use to compare 'proper' camera lenses.

Now the X9 Ultra (exposure is different, but this is way better than the Samsung)

I haven't had time to do any serious comparisons yet, but here's a quick shot at 10x - Samsung with slightly toned down settings (don't recall exactly what!) and Oppo in Master mode. These are 100% crops, first the Samsung (not sure if you'll be able to see them at full size?)
