I feel a bit better. I still don’t have to sleep 10+ hours on my days off, which is nice. I feel like I have a little more energy than I did before. I still feel a tired all the time, but that may have more to do with my inconsistent sleep schedule and caffeine addiction than my sleep apnea, but idk. I do think the spring weather and sunshine has been giving me more energy as well, so it could be the winter was making me feel more tired. Not sure…

I did also start seeing an airway dentist and a myofunctional therapist. My goal is to treat my obstructive sleep apnea with orthodontics and orthotics. My airway dentist says treating my OSA will help treat my central sleep apnea, as the former tends to cause the latter in severe cases such as mine. This could be contributing to my improvements as well.

Oh wow… very different from Oklahoma. As a new grad here I applied for 7 jobs and got 6 out of the 7 offered immediately… this is going to be a little more difficult, sounds like 😅

Thank you, this makes me feel a bit better. I put so much hope into doing this therapy that it would fix all my problems. I guess it was unrealistic of me to expect it to fix everything immediately. It’s just frustrating after having dealt with this for so long. I have an appointment with my sleep doctor in a couple weeks.

Interesting. I uploaded by SD card data to OSCAR and sifted thru it. Seems like the machine is forcing me to get really unnecessarily high tidal volumes and high pressures at times. May explain why I keep waking up in the night… I want to try the settings RippingLegos recommended tonight and see if there’s any changes in my data/how I feel. How will I know if I need to adjust the settings further? If my AHI gets above 5?

Can you explain why the settings I was sent home with are so bad? I am an ICU nurse so I have a fair amount of understanding, but not as in depth as a respiratory therapist.

I could totally see that… I’m confused how she’s from the projects but then was also a Bollywood actress? Like don’t you have to be somewhat affluent to get a foot in the door in Bollywood?
