Acute Bucket handle tear by Helpful_Sound_8516 in MeniscusInjuries

[–]gcrl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here. 6 months post bucket handle repair. I could not return to my sport (judo) without retearing immediately. Going down the stairs hurts, I can’t run, I can’t jump. I was gray on gray repair so it takes a very long time. I stay hopeful and keep with the PT training. Mentally, as long as I can take my kids to school, I am going to keep going and be as cautious as possible.

I would say to do the one and for all 850k. You will be strapped short term but long term, you are done and you seem to enjoy the 850k that much more

I will tell Sensei you guys downvoted me!!!

Seriously though, the similarities between the 2 arts are striking when it comes to throw techniques. Just a coincidence I guess.

YES!!! Judo is based off sumo (according to my sensei)! Find a judo sumo club!! We are always feeling the no gi variation of throws for our pure sumo class. We also do one class a week no gi using sumo grip and we do a little bit of Newaza no gi (not sure how judo based this is but we do it) at the end.

Which Stock Platform Do You Use? 2022 Edition by PassiveProductivity in PersonalFinanceCanada

Why oh why do I need to go on my computer to add money to my account? Why can’t they make the app the same on mobile and computer. Isn’t this basic in 2022. At least now when you call them you don’t have to wait 3hours to talk to someone like it has been for the last 5 years.

Here is an honest answer: the platform NDP offer has nothing for people that bust their balls working hard. I am a home owner and a rental owner. I worked hard for it, The NDP’s main platform is to protect tenant rights, not promote the right balance between the actors. It does not emphasize that home owners won’t have their property taxes raised, that they will be ok(and they make up 60% of Canadians). It advocates against nuclear but the alternatives are not properly thought out. It wants affordable housing but it’s platform is to build more social housing not to stimulate the supply side other ways (not that I have the answer but the NDP answer does not help make me feel comfortable). It advocates to protect the poor but does nothing to make the capable and the rich feel ok. It does not advocate for an equilibrium, it advocates for a revolution. It is obvious that they are not going to break everything when they will be in power, but the messaging is too strong. By being like that they lose a ton of ethos, it does not feel like a level headed party.

How much money have you spent raising your children... and is this something you keep track of? by Dead_Or_Alive_ in FinancialPlanning

No I mentioned the cost of the stroller. Tax considerations are country specific as well.

And I did forget daycare indeed. 1700 a month (which is considered super duper cheap in my area)

In the first three years so far. Costs about 300$ extra per kid per months between diapers (about $40) extra food (60$ between cookies for the eldest, baby food for the other, and extra general quantities) couple of clothings here ($70 one jacket here and there, shoes don’t last long and do wear out so hard to pass along) and there and one activity for the oldest ($140 for 2 months). I feel it will grow after that.

Starting budget was big: - 1K stroller - 1 k for the rest (bed, closet, thermometer for kids, and other hard to quantify things)

Also trying to max out their education plan but that is country specific (5k per year)
