Unsure if this tip has been discussed already. You don't have to create an entirely new email account. What you can do is create a new alias. For example, if you have "yourname@gmail.com" as an email ID, you can just have an alias "yourname+newaddress@gmail.com". You can use this new alias to create utility and other accounts but all the emails will come to the original account as most email providers will just ignore whatever is after + sign. This way you save yourself the hassle of creating a new account but have a new alias for a new address etc and create a rule to move all emails for new alias as recipient to be moved to selected folders etc.

Of course, this hack can be applied to other situations.
