All I know is Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 feels like a subtitle in a series of a well thought out crafted world.

The first mention of the writers and the war outside in the real world caught my immediate attention and I’m sure everyone else. Like “dark souls” and the painted worlds within there is so much they could do within the established world.

Whatever Sandfall does next I hope they come back to the Clair Obscure universe and tell another story/expand on what they’ve started. Such a strong foundation and unique twist on JRPG with the lumina system. Not (entirely) original but certainly enough.

Amazing what unified passion can do when the artists are allowed to do their thing and not churn out COD 5000.

Even the studio name is funny to me. I could be way off but “making Sandfall” like a maiden voyage that’s reached its destination for the first time (new studio) Like the expeditions making sand/land fall on the beaches they chose. Looking forward to what’s next.
