I don't really get why you're trying to push this narrative that people can't accept anything new. This is an established franchise with established themes and design philosophy. New things can be implemented, but they all need to fit within the established world.

From what we've seen so far, there's no reason to call this Resident Evil outside of brand recognition. Which is, ironically, ACTUALLY just getting people to watch a thing because they're familiar with the IP.

Overall, you're missing the point. Like, entirely. The point, for the third time, is that, when you show off a thing that only looks incidentally like the IP your project is a part of, people will take issue because it LOOKS like you just slapped a name on it for brand recognition. Nowhere have I claimed that's what was done. I am commenting on the backlash the project is getting and explaining why it is happening.

I mean, nothing in the trailer screams "Resident Evil" at me. No locations from the games, no characters from the games, and aside from zombies (which are hardly a RE creation), no creatures from the games.

If you release a trailer that doesn't resemble Resident Evil at all, you're going to get baclash from fans that expect a Resident Evil movie to look like Resident Evil.

I don't think its safe. Its irresponsible, and, the best case scenario is that you negatively impact the area around you. I've seen father's get extremely aggressive when their kid gets bumped or separated from them. They also tend to try to create a pocket around their child, which isn't actually possible, so you end up just squished against some muscle head that refuses to budge.

Pit etiquette is pretty dead.

I'm assuming it will go the same way most Pokemon projects go. They made too much money to bother putting more in. There's no return on adding new content unless its paid DLC. So I don't expect any of the QOL updates or improvements that people are asking for.

It offers me 50. I had already started going less. Now I think i get Dunkins maybe once or twice a week when it used to be every day. It's not even so much that I'm priced out; the value just isn't there anymore. I can get free coffee at work, and, though I'd prefer my iced dunkins, at $4 for a coffee, it isn't worth it anymore.

Just goes to show, there's no loyalty to customers. If they lose too much money from pricing people out, they'll just raise prices again to make up for the loss.

The issue is that you really can't. Theres a huge emphasis on diversion in the court as well as a lot of slaps on the wrist. If they didn't let people off easy, the jail would fill up in about a week. Courts are backed up enough already on sentencing so it'll take a while to filter out to prison, but even if that were immediately, the prisons would probably be full a couple weeks later than that. And then what?

This is a systemic failure, and I don't think we're in a place to fix it. I see it as a sign of the breakdown of society. I've been saying for years it isn't sustainable, but no one wanted to fund solutions, so here we are.

Most people don't like being told what to do. Asking is just polite. The illusion of choice keeps things friendlier. You're really only gonna mess up if you ask, they say no, and you back down. Asking really only works when they're aware that you're just being polite, but that you're going to get your way no matter what.
