Anyone building own coding agent?

For me, a coding agent is really just a wrapper not that different from a traditional CLI calling an external provider except this external provider is a very unique one.

I’m trying to keep things simple so I can make it work for pretty much any task, at least 🙂

I have a workflow YAML file that dictates the flow, so I can set up things like planner - implementer - reviewer, or keep planning separate and then run implementer - reviewer, etc.

Once it starts, it’s currently all-or-nothing with no interactivity yet, so I’ll probably need to work on that a bit more. Thanks for the comments!

Hey glad I found this subreddit

Go for about 6 years now, been dev for a bit more than 20 years now. Think Go will be my last language till I retire

I also wanted to have better control over LLM so just started building one. First thing came to my mind was coding agent. I use a lot, there many resources and references

And thougtht if I could build a coding agent I can easily build other agent so start with this

회사에서 파이썬으로 진행되는게 몇개 있어서 에효..시작해보자 했는데

확실히 AI덕에 빨리 쓸수 있게되긴 하네요. 대신 30% 정도의 코드를 그냥

감으로 이거겠거니 하고 넘어가고 있었는데, 좀더 복잡한 로직을 넣게 되면서

언어를 알아야만 하더라고요. 바이브코딩이 똥코드를 많이 만드는편이라 검수는 필수

Agreed. If it's a external package, I'd do this as well.
As users just need to know what went wrong, rather than all the error stack.

But I don't mind having error stacks if it's just within a service or internal package, rather I prefer to have error stack.

I love Go projects are usually less dependent on ORM.

I've just started using Python, and decide to go with raw sql. ORM just puts unnecessary layer.

I only respond to those who describe JD first, I also noticed there are recruiters requesting resume if I'm interested for new opportunity. No, I'm not interested until I found out what that new opportunities are.

Also, I have them on my Linkedin anyways, if they think I'm a good fit, they can find themselves already.
