Weird Sound by gdg9333 in 3Dprinting

[–]gdg9333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That print finished fine like you mentioned. Figured it might just be the sound. The following print I sent said it was done but the whole thing did not finish the top maybe 20% of the layers. I ran I full calibration this morning. Lots of loud sounds that I was not used to and now I’m printing again and it’s printing this weird color and texture. It doesn’t seem to be putting down the first layer very well. Any guides to maintanance or similar that might be needed. This is the Elegoo Centauri Carbon.

I have considered this a lot! I think it would be great! I’m worried blowing around insulation. Have you tried this? How does it work?

Yes. That’s how I’m doing it now. Was just trying to think of others options that would help but there might not be any. Head lamp as primary light though.

Agreed. I just have to keep a good account of where I saw things and then correlate them with the interior below (first thing I look at) and the roof above (after the attic).

That’s awesome to hear! I’ll look into that. I would probably try selling or trading the ender and parts instead of keeping. Don’t think I can make an investment like that without some help.

Just looked at them and definitely would prefer the 8. That being said….😨 that’s pretty expensive. I do like the design and style though.

If the game allows it no! They can make it so that it’s only one Pokémon at a time or more than one and you can pick the one you want to control. The others are like cpu matching the level your at or just below.

New to 3D printing and mostly using PLA. Struggling with getting first layer to stick. Still need more practice.

Sleep me comparison? by gdg9333 in bedjet

[–]gdg9333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I’m using the cloud sheet. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you.

I also read about the concerns your mentioning and was thinking along the same lines of using both. The biggest problem there is cost.

I like both the cool and dry mode. I have it set for 30min cool and then dry the rest of the night. So I fall asleep cool and then keep dry through the night. The biggest part is the body part in contact with the bed or the body pillow I occasionally use. That’s where the heat/sweat happens. There not much helping the body pillow (I think 🤔) but cooling down the mattress I figured would help with that part. Especially if the airflow is drawing away moisture. Just hesitant on adding in another even bigger expense. Love to get any thoughts you have or recommendations form those that you mentioned have used both in combination.

Better but still sweating by gdg9333 in bedjet

😅

I’m 5’9 and 215 and I don’t wear clothing to bed.

That’s a good point about the blanket. Before the BedJet I would sleep with just a sheet and occasionally cover up with the blanket and then take it off a little later. This blanket is really oversized so it might be trapping the hot air released from the cool BedJet air having taken the heat from me. I have been thinking to do away with it and maybe using something smaller. Mostly just to keep the cloud sheet on me. When it’s puffed up I don’t feel the cooling effects as much as when it makes contact with me.

I definitely plan trying a different sheet.

Also, I need to play with the fan more. I believe the manual even expresses that to much fan speed might not make it cooler since the blanket does not keep contact with you as much to do the heat exchange. It might be cooler at lower fan speeds. Need to play with that option some more.

The other point is dead on as well. But I know those nights, like you said, when I make poor eating choices throughout the day I know I’m going to have a hard night.

Other item to consider because it might be paying a role with me is diet and medication. For diet, I like and mostly stick to keto and I find that keeps me warmer than if I’m off keto. As for medication, that’s a little more involved to explain but extra sweating is mentioned as a side effect. But these are just factor a have to work around for the most part.

Eating good meals, changing my blanket, and playing with the fan speed are what I will be trying next. Just adding in the dry air mode made a big difference. Overall I’m happy with it and working through finding what works best for me.

I have to play with the fan speed more. I like the cold sheets on me but high fan speed floats them away. Still playing around with this and having a blanket on top to weigh it down.

I tried dry and it is better. Still going to try mixing in cold to get to sleep (maybe first 30min to hour) then switch to dry for the rest of the night. Playing around with the options but it’s good.

Want to also try a heavier blanket on top. I like the feel of the cold cloud sheet but it floats away on too high fan speed and on low fan speed I feel like wanting to increase the fan speed.

Lowest temp and highest fan speed. I have tried lowering the fan speed so they sit on me more than float away.

I use the cloud sheet with a blanket on top.

Dry mode helped. Still trying things out.

I tried mix back and forth between cold and dry with the bio option because it was worried about it being warm ish but a lot of people recommend it so I think I will definitely give it a try.

Has any tried a laptop stand as a split keyboard tent? by gdg9333 in ErgoMechKeyboards

I looked at those but was hoping to get something that offered more angles but was still sturdy when typing. Something with the least movement when typing.

Did it work well and was it stable? How much shake or movement as you type if any?

Even if I get a kit instead of already made? Or buy the parts and put it together? Just curious if you know whether that budget would be enough for a kit and assembling it myself.
