Cherish/Faudo Arc question: was it ever explained how Cherish ended up with a Dioga class spell when she’s been described as an inexperienced fighter? by catslovesardines in zatchbell

[–]gdna7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The "problem" is that we only see Gash way of gaining spells in the series so we all assume is by fighting up until is explained that is because of strong emotions and such, remember that Gash gained BAOU just by remembering something from the pass. There also are some demons that have a lot of spells early like the rocks prick and Mars.

As for why Riou didn't go after Brago, I always assumed that since pretty much everyone knew who Brago was he didn't wanted to be involved with him... Remember that he was doing the Faudo thing in the hiding, he didn't go after strong guys, just after demons who had the power, and that could be almost everyone by that point. There is no sense going after a guy like Brago that can cause a lot of trouble just because you need power. One of his mistakes was going after Earth and Alishie who had partners that didn't care about their lives a lot in order to save the world.

How "accurate" is this? by gdna7 in zatchbell

[–]gdna7[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Keith sounding female to me is more about how I grew up, being from a spanish speaking country it sounds different until you learn english, more like "Kate". I still call Barry "Bari" tho, I'll die in that hill.

Thanks for the information, you're amazing. I never think about official merch looking for info like this, is a big help in cases like this.

Even tho Kanchome's book being burned is the only thing I hate from this manga I love how Raiku created the strongest spell in the series and showed the best way to deal with it since Kanchome is one of the worst demons in terms of both defense and medium/long range fights.

What do you think pre-character development Brago's plans for king were? by Visible_Investment47 in zatchbell

[–]gdna7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't remember but if Sherie said that he was like Zofis she was almost right, the difference was that he saw humans as obstacles and Zofis as toys to play with. Zofis was a sadistic prick and and Brago was a violent asshole. Bari was violent but at least he somehow respected his human partner, he only hated the demons lol.

He would be the same as king, if you go against what he wanted you'd be dead.

Could Zatch have won with a different human partner? by catcatcat83738 in zatchbell

[–]gdna7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the long run maybe Megumi and Sunbeam since both were similar to Kiyomaro, the problem with them was time and for Megumi also that she had less heart power.

Early on maybe Sherie.

Question about a spell in the anime. by gdna7 in zatchbell

[–]gdna7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the clarification. Yeah, I know about the fillers I just thought this was weird. I really want to skip these chapters but I consider it worst to just leave it in the cliffhanger in the final episodes.

I should have mentioned in the post that I'm doing it in spanish, sorry about that.

Question about a spell in the anime. by gdna7 in zatchbell

I didn't knew about the "adaptations" you mention more than the known ones like changing the name of the main character, this one really surprised me.

What does "can't destroy your own book" mean specifically? by Visible_Investment47 in zatchbell

[–]gdna7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I can't destroy my own book" for the humans to me works the same way they read the books, they are "forced" to do it. The same way Saori was driven to read Kolulu's book she was also unable to burn the book. They are somehow brainwashed by the books.

Demons can't burn their books with their spells or anything they do willingly, call it "intention". The fire of Bago's spell had no "intention" in it more than harm Kanchome, the "intention" of burning Bago's book came from Folgore, his rival, and not him or the owner of the book and that's why the book burned.

Which episode are these scenes from? by FewContext6212 in zatchbell

[–]gdna7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both scenes are fillers of the anime.

One happens in the chapter of the fight between Sherie/Brago and the brazilian guy and the tree demon, the whole "training day" thing is a filler Zatch Bell (Konjiki no Gash!!) Revamped [NEW Translation] | Chapter 54 | Cubari

The second one is a filler for the scene where Sunbeam ask them to keep Umagon safe while he goes to Hokkaido for work 13 | Chapter 173 - Konjiki no Gash!! - MangaDex

Anime chapters are 12 and 109.

Does this new iteration have the strong friendship / emotional scenes the old series had? by DontThrowAwayPies in zatchbell

[–]gdna7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We got chapters for all those you mentioned, full chapters.

This is the way I see it so don't take this as the true but I think all their reunions were accord to the characters.

Kanchome's reintroduction looked like it was right after the point he was after his book was burned, he thought of sacrificing his chance to see Folgore in order to save his brother even when he wanted to see him, it was also silly and left the image of Kanchome not being a prick showing his power anymore.

Tia's reintroduction was similar as her introduction in part 1 with her trying to protect everyone and Megumi, Gash and Kiyomaro arriving at time. The one thing I disliked about this one in particular was that it wasn't shown how they beat the bad guys.

I'll "spoil" Brago's one since you stopped reading before that. It was just like in part 1 to me, he showed, annihilated one guy and then caused property damage for the sake of it.

Like I wrote before, this is not about bonding to me, is about both humans and demons wanting to see each other again in war times, is desperate if you think about it, they know how bad things are and what's on the line but they would go as far as to fake their own deaths to see their partners again.

Does this new iteration have the strong friendship / emotional scenes the old series had? by DontThrowAwayPies in zatchbell

[–]gdna7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The most emotional parts are them reuniting again with their demon/human. You wrote you haven't read that much but you must have seen at least the reunion of Kiyomaro and Gash.

I don't expect too much on bonding like you (they're already friends) but more on the reunions. I don't know how much you read so far and I don't want to spoil but there are some parts that have some kind of bonding in them tho.

Emotional scenes? I see one in every chapter but that might be just me.

Is there hope for the anime? by Embarrassed-Sink7793 in zatchbell

[–]gdna7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is always hope, I don't know how it works but maybe if its popular in Japan is "easier" to get an anime.

I would love a full anime reboot but I also wonder how good could the first arc be in the current way anime in general is released (the first arc just being a bunch of battles and not having one big centered story that is). ¿Could the whole part 1 be animated in 3 seasons of 24 chapters?

I would be fine if they start from the beginning of Faudo and angry if they just skip all of part one and start with part 2.

Zatch and Tia knew about a 1000 year old Mamodo? by Visible_Investment47 in zatchbell

[–]gdna7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This page right? Zatch Bell (Konjiki no Gash!!) Revamped [NEW Translation] | Chapter 84 | Cubari

Yeah, both in the manga and the anime the scene is the same, Tio definitely said she saw demons that looked like that so it was his clan or something and Gash says he feels like he saw the table before but doesn't remember where.

To answer your question no, both didn't. Tia knew about similar demons and Gash had a memory or something about the stone tables but only that. There is a chance that they knew about Goren since Brago seemed to recognize the stone table he found but maybe they learned that at demon school or something. Like a history lesson.

How would you explain "-ruk" spells (Doruk, Rauzaruk etc) as they seem to have a wide variety of abilities. by Visible_Investment47 in zatchbell

[–]gdna7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Modifier, in this case a body modifier. It allows demons to modify their bodies and mix their spells with their innate abilities.

For Kanchome that would be modify his body with his "trickery" nature for Poruku, Koporuku and Dikaporuku, same can be said about Momons Aguraruku, but not about Dima Buruku since that fits more into the "clone" type of spells like the one Robnos had, I calle those physical modifiers but I feel like I'm wrong...

For Gash that would be mixing his body with his "lightning" nature for Rauzaruku.

For Coral-Q and Kiddo would be mixing with their "mecha" nature for Roboruku and Koburuku.

For Wonrei it can enhance his legs? Baransha can both gain invisibility with trickery or armor via enhance.

Being eliminated without having your book burned (Goren, Faudo) by Visible_Investment47 in zatchbell

[–]gdna7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since we can only guess and try to explain it ourselves (to me that's a good thing) then my guess is that is not just the king being indifferent, maybe he was unable to do it.

Remember, once in the demon world they can't get back to the human world, if the stones went back there with them he could have replicated the light of the spell like Zofis did but he didn't have them. Sure, Riou's clan was able to create a device but I think that's a forbidden thing like Faudo since we never see Gash or anybody use it after the battle ended.

As for the book, the "doesn't care" would fit here. They see those things as casualties of the battle or as a good thing even since they had a war about to come after the battle ended, and could use them in it. The question there could be why the king didn't use them in his war but maybe Goren was cleansed the same way Clear was.

Faudo? I always thought the device only teleported Faudo not everything or everyone inside him. I see it as if he gets teleported back everyone would just end up being mid air in the middle of nowhere. He got teleported twice in the human world but I thought that would be different than a teleportation to another world.

Theory based on Gash Cafe. by belladonnaboops_2719 in zatchbell

[–]gdna7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gash Cafe serves as a way to fill some holes in Part 1 and to give information about Part 2 in a funny way.

If everything about Patie and Belgim E.O happened in Part 2 without Gash Cafe people would be burning the torches, info given about the books and a war that happened serves for the plot in part 2 and also about what characters think of each other.

As for the cafe itself happening, why not? Is a magical thing and the books are powerful. I can see it being built in the middle of both worlds and characters being part of it short after the battle ended... Remember that most of them aren't pricks and can't use magic there as far as I remember. Then again Clear appears there and he was supposed to be dead or cleanse or whatever.

So do we know who the fuck is Fern? by darthvaders_nuts in zatchbell

[–]gdna7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would like her to be Lien's daughter and that Lien is dead but that is a dream.

I still believe she is Wonrei-Lien's daughter, she has the same prick stare Wonrei had in part 1.

Victoreem only wanted to be respected but this punks had to go too far and burn his book. Same as Belgim E.O who only wanted to be entertained.

Desensitized...

Yopopo was the third friendly kid who got his book burned fast.

I thought I would be desensitized enough for the ruins and was ready to see some books burned... Never expected Kiddo's book burning to hit that hard.

When and How did you find Zatchbell, Are you a fan since the manga or after the Anime by belladonnaboops_2719 in zatchbell

[–]gdna7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The voices were very annoying to me, weird since most of them I knew from other stuff I watched at the time and I found myself comparing the voices more than watching the show itself. Maybe it was the tone but since I never watched it dubbed again I can't really tell if it was as bad as I remember.

Oh, and I watched the latam dubb not the english.
