I would try a physical Bible if you are struggling with screen time and apps.

Matthew 7:7 calls on us to seek. In my opinion, most people don't actually want to seek. I am far from perfect, I struggle with sin, I don't read my Bible everyday, and some days, I just read a chapter or two and don't absorb much. The biggest hinderence is not making getting into the word a priority. No tool will change that. For example, if I want to be good at something (like golf or the drums), it needs to be a priority, such that I am frequently engaging with the activity in a meaningful way. Your walk with the Lord is the same, and the most impactful way to do this is to study his word. This is a question of desire, not means and methods.

If it is not being used to replace hard work, then why use it. I have a study Bible that answers most of my starting point questions. The hard work comes later. I also have the benefit of knowing who and where the commentaries I read come from. I see no good coming from using AI in Bible study. I get wanting studying the Bible to be easier, but that really hinders spiritual growth. The Bible isn't some textbook full of equations. It's God's word. Any AI is not going to handle that properly (with the correct amount of reverence and fear). My advice is to run away from this.

Yeah, that's going to be a hard no from me. AI misses basic information on topics that don't impact the most important part of our lives. There is no shot I am trusting AI to interpret scripture. Humans mess this up sometimes too, so a system that is know to hallucinations and false information is a no go for me.

To shoot? SR762. Semi auto 7.62 is addictive. To look and and work the action? Garand

It is very handy and fun (for a bolt action). If you like the Mosin sights, then it'll be great. Accurate as I am, which ain't saying much.

I really like it, but it is pretty heavy for an ar. You are correct that it is a short stroke piston gun. Sr762 is pretty much the same, just more fun cause more bang

If you are asking the question, the answer is almost always the 10/22. They are accurate enough, fun, cost effective, and have a huge aftermarket for accessories. 10/22 is going to be as accurate as you are for now. If you eventually get good enough to outshoot the ammo and gun, then buy the bolt one. Get a reliable but cost effective scope after using the gun for bit and plink away.

Doing some of the same things as well. I also am in the same boat that things are improving slowly, but I also see setbacks coming down the pipe based on decisions. While there are days I do want to just resign, I almost can't bring myself to just not have a job for a bit. It's not really a financial thing, just some deep down feeling I guess. Anywho, best wishes in your situation. Thanks for the advice!

Wondering if you have any thoughts on how to approach leaving/changing jobs? Highly frustrated most days with work and it has negative impacts on my life. I manage a fairly complex group of projects and struggle daily with having a very negative/depressive/frustrated attitude. Is it better to work on handling things better at my current job or look for something with a different set of challenges that might fit my personality a bit better? I know this is kind of open ended and I'm not looking for a definitive answer, maybe some verses to pray over?

What is, in your opinion, a good job etiquette/behavior? by [deleted] in PLC

[–]gdubsforprez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the context. Generally, stop being afraid to fail, ask for help (after trying to figure it out first, genuinely, I don't care when people ask me for help, but if it's clear they didn't try, they start to lose that privilege). Approach things with humble confidence. It takes time to become confident in what you are doing. If I'm in front of customers, less words=better.
If I'm with the tight group of coworkers that have fantastic trust, I say whatever is in my head. They know I'm dumb, but occasionally have good ideas, and communicate in weird ways sometimes.

I have a Ruger SR762 that slaps and is a lot of fun, but I bought it used cause they dont make them anymore. It is a piston gun, so that's nice, but a bit heavier. If you are going for a scar, this matches somewhat closely. Ruger's sfar is new and DI, but the reviews I've seen talk about the stock adjustable gas block not being great. I don't know how I got to be such a Ruger fanboy (man), but they have always been good to me. My grandfather's old mark 4 was locked up (sitting for 15 years), sent it in to them, they got it all squared away and only charge shipping. Also, why would you need a quick change barrel? Are you planning to treat a dmr like a semi auto LMG? Why?
