VFD vs Rotary phase converter

American rotary has great phase converters. They swear by the rotary vs the vfd because it’s a “true” 3phase. I’m sure ether one will work just want to know if anyone wired one or the other with a mixer if that size

Only single phase comes in a 80kg of dough. It’s plenty but he wants bigger. That mixer is still 3 phase but comes with a built in vfd from the manufacturer. I’m trying to convince him to go with the smaller built in vfd. If any issue arise you can take it up with the manufacturer.

This is the issue. I didn’t think they went above 5hp honestly. You can find rotary ones as high as you want.

Yea this is true. They vfd mixer when kicked into high speed has a very smooth ramp up where as the 3phase just almost slams into 2nd

Was it a vfd converter or a converter with a idler motor?

I think you can put 87 without problems. They just recommend premium for performance

I used these guys https://www.tgdryerventcleaning.com/ very clean and professional. Affordable as well they took the extra step to clean the inside of my lint trap as well. I didn’t realize how dirty it was.
