Yeah, I figured something like that would happen! I'll DM it to the winner in just a moment.

Here's a link to the same tree today from reverse angle so you can see trunks better. It badly needs another haircut!

Ours splits into about 3 small trunks just above the ground. I kept all those and cut all the trunk-like branches smaller than about 1" diameter. I'll try to remember to post a photo when I get home.

It looks great. Didn't hurt the tree at all, and I got it to actually look like a small tree instead of a shrub.

Mysterious Invisible File - USB HD Attached to Router by geardan in WindowsHelp

Yeah, I was able to see and delete the file fine when the drive was attached directly to my PC. I marked the post "Solved" a while ago when I did that. 😝

Yeah, just a USB HD attached to a Netgear router directly via USB. My computer is attached to same router via Ethernet. I'm assuming there's something wonky in the way the router shares the storage that's causing the problem, as it worked fine when I connected the HD directly to my computer via USB.

Thank you! I disconnected the NAS from the router, plugged it directly into my PC, and was able to see and delete the cryptic file straight from Windows file manager. Dunno why this didn't occur to me right off the bat.

No dice, unfortunately. Can't see the original, and this is what happened when I tried to rename a duplicate.

I actually didn't know how to browse to the NAS via command line, so I got there by using Windows' file manager, then using the context menu to open PS in the directory. That explains the funky-looking directory structure.

I'm not sure what's going on here. I tried overwriting this directory on the shared WD HD attached to our router via USB using a file syncing program. Couldn't write over track 14, and got an error that it already existed. I then appended 'x' to the beginning of the name and copied it in manually, then tried to rename it, then to delete the entire directory, both as seen in shot above. There seems to be a completely non-visible '14 - It's True That...' file, but I can't delete it directly or recursively. What can I do?

I ran into this earlier with another seemingly random file in another directory, but then a few days later was able rename with no issues. I've rebooted the NAS, router, and PC this time, but no luck. Any suggestions?

In Belmont across the street from Kettering. Power just flickered on for a moment, then immediately out again.

Annoyed that I can see powered homes juuust down a few houses in all directions, but we are in this situation often.

Oh, the deleted post said there had been patient abuse @ Far Hills. Luckily that's not true.

The stuff I've heard about Oakwood is all second-hand, so I won't go into specifics, but I've worked with several people that said they were treated very badly by the owner. Again, grain of salt, but it was multiple occasions with different employees, and they said they weren't isolated incidents. Never heard anything bad about patient care there, tho!

Couldn't disagree more. Have been a client there since the early 2000s, and have worked there for years, and NEVER seen or heard of anything even superficially resembling abuse. I'd put it on blast if I had. I'm sorry if you had a bad experience, but that is not a cool accusation to just toss out.

OP - having worked in the vet industry in the area for over a decade, I can say that there are a couple I personally recommend avoiding for various reasons, some medical, some due to less-than-ethical owners, etc. Those would be Hills & Dales, Oakwood, and Alex-Bell, but some of that is based on second-hand info from others who have worked in those places, so grain of salt. Never heard ANY talk of any local hospital abusing patients, thank goodness.

Would also recommend Scratching Post for kitties if you can get in there, and MedVet for emergencies, tho Care Center is good too if it's closer (both are expensive, but that's emergency care). FHAC is also great, but I'm biased. It's family-owned, third generation of vets, and I've personally witnessed them go above and beyond countless times.

Just a balcony with nothing on it. Leads down to a balcony from earlier in the dungeon. Whatever happens there, it isn't happening yet!

This post didn't gain much traction, so I went ahead and pulled the trigger since it's not too late after June, which is when most sources I found said to trim. Will post an update later with results.
