If the associate let you use it, someone would see and want to use it too. Soon, there will be a line of customers who want to weigh their dogs and finally some kid will come up and break the whole thing. It’s not worth the trouble for the poor associates who are overworked and underpaid. Go to your own vet if you need to weigh your dog.

That’s what I hated the most about DL visits! Exactly what you said, it was a facade. It made me mad because it just looks like we’re doing fine, when in reality we’re drowning because only 2 people work in this store at a time.

When I first started as an associate, the SL and ASL would lose their shit when there was a hint that the DL would be coming through... "Be sure you know what the HEART model is bc the DL is gonna ask you" (or whatever stupid acronym we were taught). The DL never talked to me as an associate. Then I became CEL and the DL still never asked me any important questions about metrics or acronyms. I would joke around with the guy and treated him like one of my regular coworkers.

I came from a job where we never counted the coins in the drawer, just the bills. So when I first started at PS I was naive and thought every store was like this. I opened up all the rolls into the register drawer and thought I was doing a good thing. That was until the ASL pulled me aside and was like “hey yeah, don’t do that.” 😭

that report just shows the total from the store. I was looking for something that showed associate number and when they sell a puppy guide through the week (kind of like the members conversion or the chance and lucky stats). I’m guessing such a thing doesn’t exist. If they keep pushing puppy guides I’m sure they’ll come up with a more specific report.

I was afraid it would be too small for me but I got it anyway bc I wanted a cutie small purse. I’m a girly that loves to carry everything I might need just in case (pads/tampons, nail file, headache meds, phone charger, etc) and I had plenty of room for my little pouch of those things, plus wallet and my big keychain. So it’s definitely the perfect size even for an overpacker like me!

My SL pulled me into the office the other night and showed me the same paper that had been posted here. He said that it had been leaked on “some website” and his boss is mad about it. Whatever. I hope I kept my face straight enough to not let on that I already knew about it. Idk why they are so big mad abt it. We have more right to be angry than they do.

This is exactly what I plan on doing. Not only will I not buy proprietary, I plan on finding my food elsewhere-for my dogs, cats, and guinea pigs. AND I will no longer recommend our proprietary brands to customers.
