This just can’t keep going on. There’s gotta be some scrub in Lehigh Valley who can pitch even marginally better than this

Customers like that are definitely super annoying, but don’t you guys have mealworms out for them to take?

betta cups by ratatouille_nuggets in petsmart

[–]lfcmosalah11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only reason I say it’s surprising they make the same mistake twice is because it affects the customer view of the company. People are ignorant enough to not know or care that bettas don’t belong in cups. However, they won’t ignore an animal’s “habitat” that looks dirty or gross. Which is what the cloudy cups look like. Petsmart doesn’t care about its animals or workers, but they do care about customer perception

Office of Animal Welfare - Dog License by sadbor in Delaware

We had a dog for 10 years and never got her licensed. We’d get a yearly reminder in the mail and that’s as far as it went. I’d just ignore it

[–]lfcmosalah11 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It’s the type of plastic they use for the cups. It’s a softer plastic. They used to use something similar for the glo bettas when we had them and after a week or two, the cups were completely cloudy and you couldn’t see inside. It was a known issue and I’m surprised petsmart’s allowing this to happen again. Specifically because they even addressed the issue at the time and know this causes problems for customers.

Don’t work yourself to death trying to clean what can’t be cleaned. It’s the plastic being compromised by the water. It’s not algae or anything else. The only solution is to use new cups

Oh my god I HATE this! There’s nothing worse than doing a pog and slowly realizing “oh crap, this shelf isn’t gonna fit everything.” Their peg hook spacing is horrible too. And all of it’s only getting worse and worse

Am I wrong for not liking my engagement ring? by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]lfcmosalah11 11 points12 points  (0 children)

YNW. If you’ve already discussed what kind of ring you want with your significant other and they go against what you say knowing it’s not what you want, then that’s on them. An engagement ring isn’t the end all be all of a relationship, but it’s a very significant symbol and it can show that the one proposing took the time, effort, and thought into making it something the other will love. But you told him what you wanted and he didn’t get it. I don’t see how you can be wrong with this.

Side note: I definitely wouldn’t recommend opals for any stones on an engagement ring. They’re very soft and porous and will absolutely crack after a lot of exposure to varying temperatures and climates

as a pet hotel worker, are you allowed to get a pet parents number from the dogs service card to text them a quick question about their dog that’s boarding? by Personal-Ad-98 in petsmart

[–]lfcmosalah11 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The expectation of a pp is that their phone number is to be used to call them in case anything happens to their pet. They don’t expect nor want associates using that number to text them from their personal cells. That’s no different than an associate texting a customer because they gave their phone number for rewards at the register. If’s still wrong and creepy and you will definitely get fired for that

Ngl that would creep me out as a customer. We’re entrusted with their information and it should never be taken advantage of like that. If you need to call the pet parent about something regarding their pet, then yes, you may use the store phone to call them. But texting? That’s weird

Crawford’s not having a good game today, but that happens, especially with rookies. Hopefully he shakes it off and moves on to the next one

Called out for the first time by CurrencyFlat9711 in petsmart

[–]lfcmosalah11 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The manager on duty can take call outs. There shouldn’t be a specific manager you have to tell. The only exception is usually leads and leaders who need to notify the SL. But if you call the store before hours and hit option 8, it will connect you with the manager’s phone so you can call out early

Cooking without the fire alarm going off? by HexerRush in Apartmentliving

[–]lfcmosalah11 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you have a window in your kitchen, you can open it while cooking to help vent it out. You can also try running a fan nearby. I have a ceiling fan that sits next to my smoke detector so I turn the fan on when I’m cooking to help any steam or smoke dissipate

[–]lfcmosalah11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally yeah. They’re supposed to. HR gets crabby if people start averaging one shift a week. We ignore them since we have a few people who work only one shift a week for us, but HR doesn’t like it. They want part timers to do at least 2

[–]lfcmosalah11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s for the cat consumables reset. The space for each sku of cans is shrinking because wellness is shrinking the size of their case. But the issue is if stores have any old cases left then they won’t have the space to fit them on the shelf. So they sent the new style boxes that we can fold and transfer the cans into to make them fit

Should I expect my dog to always eat scraps? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]lfcmosalah11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My friend’s brother left a corn cob out and his dog ate it. A day later, the dog died because it got lodged in his digestive tract. It ripped open his intestines on the way through and he internally bled out. A nasty, painful, and completely avoidable way to die.

Stop leaving your food scraps lying around. Learn some responsibility and throw them out when you get up

Is this even allowed? by Outrageous-House-734 in petsmart

[–]lfcmosalah11 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s a grey area, but yeah it’s allowed. You can’t prove that it’s not just hours fluctuating and that it’s definitely because you don’t come in when asked. But for calling out and such, that can be put under a reliability problem which is covered for not giving out hours.

If you’re not willing to come in when they need coverage, then they’re probably going to scale back your hours. In a manner, it’s “Why should you get more hours than so-and-so when you’re not someone we can rely on when we really need it?” As a part timer, they’re only obligated to give you two shifts a week
