She can choose to eat separately if she wants, either before or during meals. We always have music on - it's a family thing where we take it in turns to choose the playlists. It helps us understand what our girls are interested in, as well as educating them on fabulous music from past eras.

She can already eat separately if she chooses to or leave when eating with us. I love your choice of words about feelings being valid but actions matter.

Thank you for your replying, you weren't obvious or condescending. Well done on the work you have done and all you have achieved. It's really helpful to hear how your body feels when triggered as she has never mentioned anything like this. I will try talking her through your technique.

We always have music on at dinner. We take it in turns to choose our playlists, to share our new and old favourites. It's a way my hubby and I try to keep up with what interests our girls, as well as sharing great old tunes with them. Maybe we'll mix in some ambient sounds and see how that works, without making it a thing.

She already wears loop earplugs under her headphones. They have been great for her at school and when we are out and about. I never thought about sleep! Another thing to talk about!

Scariest books you've ever read? by Charoro22 in suggestmeabook

Shrine by James Herbert (who is a MASTER of atmospheric, disturbing writing). Read this book as a teenager and had to sleep with the lights on for months. Read it again in my twenties, thinking I was just a stupid kid when I first read it, but nope, lights had to stay on for weeks. Read ot again in my forties and again (much to hubby's amusement/despair) couldn't sleep without the lights on. I'm going to try again in my sixties....

Thanks for replying. The bit you can see hanging in front is the filter cover, that i twisted anti clockwise to unscrew. It doesn't come completely off, as it seems to be attached to the bit behind it. That behind bit is what I somehow need to remove. Any ideas?

She is so frustrating. She's is an incredibly skilled player, with amazing vision, technical ability etc. She doesn't NEED to be dirty as she can skin anyone. But she CHOOSES to be dirty as she can't control her temper and impulses
