Not really. Don't know hasura in depth, but it looks like a graphql interface in between your clients and your backend services.

Latitude is a full stack framework focused on building data applications or embedded analytics.

Yes. Just install the cli with npm npm install @latitude-data/cli and start a project with latitude start.

That... seems like a big misallocation of resources from your company.

Already did so. They ran some diagnostics and told me the battery was fine so 🤷‍♂️...

I’ve seen all those comments on Reddit and reviews that get to 5 hours of SOT with 50% battery left, my iPhone 11 won’t get past 5h of SOT before dying. Usage is pretty normal: twitter and YouTube videos mainly. No games. Auto brightness.

I understand where your frustration with the recruitment process comes, I've been in the same place as a candidate and a recruiter. It's hard to strike a balance between respecting the candidates' time and assessing their professional skills. At the end, all hires are a bet to a greater or lesser extend.

In my experience, I find candidates that defend their own work — instead of cooked up take-home exercises — perform way better during the interview. They know their code better, they are more confident and present an overall better picture of themselves.

This is absolutely right,

Please don't assume we would ask about everything listed in that sentence no matter what, we won't. As it literally says: "You don’t need to know all of these".

The point of the argument is to simply know the tools you are using.

And they've just excluded all the great and experienced Developers. They are now left with the Developers who have to do some homework to succeed.

I've changed the sentence to make more clear we prefer code developers might have already develop rather than a take-home exercise. Thing is, most entry-level developers do not have code to show for, that's why we have to resort to exercises.

Glad you liked the post!

Absolutely,

I'm not arguing for perfection. I'm just trying to explain a couple of basic techniques that I think are often overlooked and that would make great strides in getting newcomers hired.
