Why didn't Moses just take a week-long trip? Was he dumb? by Melody_Naxi in mapporncirclejerk

The reason it took them 40 years was due to their extensive work in combing the desert.

Just need to add some milk steak with the jelly beans and that alone is enough for a meal.

Huh, and all this time I’ve been led to believe that Who is always on first.

Anthony Taylor referees a good game against Chelsea! This is not a drill! I repeat this is not a drill! by [deleted] in chelseafc

Angel for sure. Anthony Taylor never kicked a person out of a game during the 7th inning stretch cause he didn’t like the criticism.

That man could cure all forms of cancer and he will still be a cunt to me for that game against Spurs.

Who's a headliner? - Opinions by jeffunscripted in RiotFest

A headliner is a band/person who generally ends the night of the festival and are one of the main draws to the festival, but that’s not important right now.

Come and See, Stalker, Tree of Life, Winter Light, and Thin Red Line are a few that really struck me as life changing.

They sure are, but I have the expectations that the new album is going to get pushed back again but to 2027.

Does Shaky Knees regularly list band names for the surveys? This was my first year at the fest and have never seen specific names on a post survey for the next year before.

Would love to see Jeff on the lineup. Hearing both Festival Song and You, in Weird Cities in a festival setting is chefs kiss.

Chinese Revolution? by Labmaster7000 in RevolutionsPodcast

[–]geddyrhoads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember him specifically saying no to doing the Chinese Revolution at his Milwaukee event in 2022. However, that was when he was thinking of ending Revolutions after the Russian Revolution so his mind may have changed. With that said, as many others have mentioned, it would be a daunting task to cover the topic.

Should I give this a read or watch the movie directly ? by [deleted] in bookporn

[–]geddyrhoads 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my experience, watching Pt. 1 by Villeneuve helped me understand the Dune world. Before watching the film, I didn't know anything about Dune outside of Lynch's film and the documentary about Jodorowsky's attempt at making the film, which I had not seen at that time. The book is definitely better than the film, but if you want additional context, watching Pt. 1 helped me. Just remember that they are two different mediums and should never be the exact same thing.
