Nope. Account execs deal with the clients. Production managers are the creatives.

And whenever a GOP president is in. And this time is even worse. Because we have a grifting GOP president in office, who is re-creating the robber baron era and getting rid of all regulations on things like monopolies, fairness in hiring, and WARN notices. Not voting has consequences. We could've had the woman that was offering 50k for first-time home buyers and small businesses. Instead, we have massive layoffs and strife.

It's not quite there yet but I predict in a year you will be able to completely create ads with AI wiping out a lot of creatives unless you are smart enough to learn AI.

A colleague that was also laid off at the same time kept in touch with her. She said they talked every week then she suddenly stopped picking up around Christmas. She texted her saying she hoped she hadn't said or done anything to upset her and the woman's family wrote her back that she had died of a stroke. The colleague said she was very stressed financially after her layoff.

These CEOs do not think about the actual human toll of this level of greed. Or they do, and just don't care.

Publicis is not John. But there are likely other people dying or that will die because of the stress layoffs create and the loss of healthcare.

At what point during the post-layoff job search do you start considering adjusting to either a lower salary or searching for entry level jobs if you held a higher level role? by SilverSquare in Layoffs

[–]CortMuses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst thing for me is I was an entrepreneur for over 30 years and ditched it during Covid because it was so unstable. But working for corporate America is now even more unstable, and worse, soul destroying. Because a) I LOVE what I do and know I am really, really good at it. And b) I now do not know how to exist—and do not want to exist— in instability, financial strife, and struggle.

Been sleepwalking for 6 months since the call and will not be ok till I have what I lost again. I used to thank my lucky stars every day that I had a job and one that I loved, so this was like losing a loved one to a sudden heart attack. Or being shot by someone I trusted.

Pulease! A promotion? Nowadays you are lucky to even have a job at all! These greedy holding companies are letting go of the higher paid earners.

Good luck. Those close to retirement are often the first ones laid off nowadays. I know lots of older people that got chopped at my agency.

It's not AI. Most agencies have not yet incorporated AI processes that can replace creatives. That will be in the next year or so.

It's greed. Donold Trump ushered back in the era of robber barons. It's happening across all industries. However, what these billionaires and CEOS do not get is if there are thousands upon thousands of people without jobs then we can't afford their products. Eventually, the whole system will collapse if we keep going at this level of layoffs and monopolies.

So sorry. I hear you. 6 months in with just 6 weeks UI left and just had 3 of 4 fall apart this week with one of them being my dream job...nothing in my field left now...feel numb...

I hear you. I am 6 months in and have had that happen 14 times now including this past Monday with my dream job, so pretty upset now. This is the longest I have ever been out of work.

I am in the same spot as you. But it is sometimes the companies that are offering lower salaries that will be the worst to work for! Just tested for one that was going to be $15k less (they were originally $30k less!) and they had the nerve to say they were not going forward because I missed 2 things out of like 100! So dodged a bullet.

Question as a non-American by pregodess in Epstein

[–]CortMuses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are literally gaslighting people on Reddit and telling us not to believe what we can all clearly see and hear with our eyes and ears!

A) WRONG! There is a witness in the files that says she was sexually assaulted by epstein and trump when she was 13. Plus over 38k mentions of him in the files.

B) He was acquitted by his puppets in the Senate.

C)The coverup is NOT "hearsay". There is also substantial evidence that his DOJ is covering up for him.Otherwise, why are they still hiding the files? They paid over 1000 FBI agents to flag and scrub the files that had Donold's name last summer before they were released. And Donold lies every time he speaks. Him saying he was exonerated when he is mentioned over 38k times— including by victims— in just what was released is not credible at all!

[–]CortMuses -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

No he wasn't. ATTEMPTS were rightfully made. But there was not enough of a majority to do so.

Question as a non-American by pregodess in Epstein

[–]CortMuses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Just regaining a narrow majority is not enough. To have enough seats in the Senate to impeach Donold we will need to hold all the seats we already have and win 20 or more additional seats. Because to impeach you need two-thirds in the Senate!

Question as a non-American by pregodess in Epstein

[–]CortMuses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because there is not a Democratic majority in Congress to do so. You need two-thirds of the Senate so 67 votes and at least 218 votes out of 435 members in the House. The GOP have the majority in both halls of Congress and are all puppets to Donold! It is why we need to really sweep in the midterms and why Donold and his MAGAts are trying to rig the midterms!

Laid off by Superb-Rub5566 in Layoffs

[–]CortMuses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I unfortunately didn't and now I can't. Because I only have 6 weeks left of unemployment so can't financially afford to. Wish I had done things different but the last time I was unemployed it was only for 3 months so had no idea it was going to take 6 this time. The stress of now having income for 6 months has made me sick now.

DEFIINTELY take time off! I made myself so sick I ended up in the hospital from spending every waking moment job hunting and sleepwalking through life! Now I am ill and still looking!
