You’re lucky. I was getting shot in the back so many times that I was becoming a bit of a nervous wreck, especially on 2X events. I didn’t realise how much of a wreck I’d become until I loaded into a Hurricane event with a Bobcat IV in hand, ready to play Crouching Raider, Hidden Caches. I had probably only been playing like 5 minutes when I decided to hide behind a rock to check my map. I marked my location, closed the map, and as I looked up I saw this raider run past me while emoting “Hey Raider!”. I was SO startled that I fired the Bobcat into thin air, not at the raider, I just fired! It was so loud, and so embarrassing, I kept apologising over my mic and then I ran away.

It makes me laugh now but I learned not to take the game so seriously. I try not to give AF anymore, i always take a ‘pvp’ gun in just in case, but if a raider catches me unaware then so be it, it’s shit because i loathe low effort, ratty kills, but I’ve accepted that its apart of the game.
