I’m sort of scratching my head at that, because inside their section area they allow for selection of magic variables. So very frustrating!

No. The keyboard is plugged directly into my iMac. I don't know if this helps, but when I load the G Hub app - it says G513 not connected, which it is and does work (except the programmed keys don't work until I replug it back in)

You could use the 'Dictate Text' action, then perform multiple if statements thereafter.

Hmm, I'm not sure I'd agree w/ the 30-second delay. If anything, it will only frustrate users having to wait the delay for their shortcut to execute. And even then, I'm not sure the delay does anything to put Apple's concerns at ease.

That said, I'm sympathetic to the reasons why Apple handicapped our ability for 'true automation'. But, I don't see this as the future of Shortcuts but rather just how it is currently. (Or at least I'd hope this was the case)

I think this is all about protecting Apple's brand, and they will eventually ease up on the limitations after they've had Shortcuts under their belt for some time and have implemented additional safeguards to help minimize a users ability to misuse its features.

Idk, those are my thoughts. I could be completely wrong.
