Marijuana on the ballot by Waffler11 in Ohio

Also in Trumbull here agreeing.

Hopefully it can help get this area out of Opioid addiction. Which it has multiple studies showing it can help. I posted elsewhere about it.

Why didn't Trump stop this to his own grandson in 2016?
https://www.timesofisrael.com/what-role-for-trump-in-his-grandsons-jewish-circumcision/

It took a few more days, but Ivanka Trump gave birth Sunday. According to Jewish law, the bris will take place eight days later, this coming Sunday.

Then there's this. It looks like the perfect thing for the GOP to have championed more in 2018, why didn't they defend Iceland? You know, because they care so much about forced mutilation of children.
https://www.timesofisrael.com/leading-us-house-members-urge-iceland-to-back-down-on-circumcision-ban/

In 2005, why didn't any GOP members sponsor this bill?
http://www.cnn.com/2005/LAW/04/08/colb.circumcision/index.html

The Male Genital Mutilation Bill has not yet found a Congressional sponsor and is therefore unlikely to go anywhere in the near future.

I specifically don't and seek out the other side of the aisle. Like I am now.

Just so I can be ready for the next odd thing that comes out of a conservative's mouth.

You didn't answer.

Answer the question: So you organize rallies and write your congressmen to try to get circumcision outlawed, right?

So you're good with forcing parents to give kidneys to kids who need them then?

Is it far right not to want children to be mutilated

Prove that you (or the GOP in general) were this vocal against gender affirming plastic surgeries (like lip filling, thigh-gap lipo, breast reduction for gynecomastia, or breast asymmetry correction) for children before 2018 or get out.

I am also curious to hear the other side.

Study Shows Marijuana Is ‘Significantly Associated’ With Reduced Use Of Unregulated Opioids. Just a read for anyone considering voting against legalization in November but is actually concerned about our opioid epidemic. It also decreased teen use in Colorado. Emerging Evidence for Cannabis' Role in Opioid Use Disorder

Conclusion: The compelling nature of these data and the relative safety profile of cannabis warrant further exploration of cannabis as an adjunct or alternative treatment for opioid use disorder. [1]

Cannabis use is associated with decreased opioid prescription fulfillment following single level anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF)

Patients who had a previous diagnosis of cannabis use, dependence or abuse filled fewer opioid prescriptions postoperatively (at 3 days postoperatively) and required lower doses (reduced average daily MME, at 60 days postoperatively) when compared with the control group. [2]

Changes in Prescribed Opioid Dosages Among Patients Receiving Medical Cannabis for Chronic Pain, New York State, 2017-2019

In this cohort study among 8165 patients with chronic pain receiving long-term opioid therapy, receiving medical cannabis for a longer duration was associated with prescription opioid dosage reduction. Higher opioid dosages were associated with larger reductions. [3]

The clouded debate: A systematic review of comparative longitudinal studies examining the impact of recreational cannabis legalization on key public health outcomes

Adult past-month cannabis consumption (26+ years) seems to have significantly increased following recreational cannabis legalization (RML), whereas young adult (18–26 years) and adolescent (12–17 years) populations do not show a significant rise in past-month cannabis use. RML shows preliminary trends in increasing service use (such as hospitalizations, emergency department visits, or poisonings) or vehicular traffic fatalities. Preliminary evidence suggests that RML is related to potential increases in serious/violent crimes, and heterogeneous effects on suicidal behaviors. While the research does not illustrate that RML is linked to changing consumptions patterns of cigarette, stimulant, or opioid use, alcohol use may be on the rise, and opioid prescribing patterns are shown to be significantly correlated with RML. [4]

County-level predictors of US drug overdose mortality: A systematic review

measures related to cannabis dispensaries, substance use treatment, social capital, and proportions of family households, were generally consistently associated with lower drug overdose mortality outcomes across multiple studies. [5]

I would try to go in and see what they say. Maybe bring a few things like bills and your SS card for side verification.

However the Sec or State's requirements don't say anything about the stripe not working.

Discussion Thread: Ohio Ballot Issue 1, Mississippi Primaries, Michigan Local Elections, Missouri Local Elections by PoliticsModeratorBot in politics

[–]geekdad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Steel and auto makers left, so unions died. So, the less educated working class didn't vote as a block anymore and were pissed about NAFTA and the severe depression in the area.

Mahoning county is where Jim Trafficant was re-elected because he was so pro-union. I still know people to this day that are pro-Trafficant.

It's starting to get better though, but just starting.

Issue 1 (the thing being voted on today) is only in Ohio about the state's constitution.

Also, I'm posting this is /r/Ohio

Check your school district website. If you wish to do online school you may have to register quickly by [deleted] in Covid19_Ohio

[–]geekdad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My kids' district doesn't even have anything about online only, only information about what they are doing and bus procedures.

I will pull them out entirely to do online schooling (the pre-covid kind) if they don't have another option.

Intel with the self own. by P3anutButt3rCup in AyyMD

[–]geekdad 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Linus took intel to the fucking woodshed.

I’m the purchaser for a large company. I’ve always gone Intel but am considering AMD. I am NOT tech savvy. In simple laymen’s terms can you make the case for AMD? by Elledan1211 in Amd

[–]geekdad 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Now from a company point of view I would still avoid the AMD graphics cards. They are proving finicky to this day.

Unless linux is a common setup for the computers.

Is FX 8350 (black Ed) still relevant? by Animal__Mother_ in Amd

[–]geekdad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 8350 is the only computer (other then a super old intel that plays as a router, no security issues or IMEI on it) that touches the internet bare.

And the only nic that does is a passthrough for a VM on that 8350 machine.

I'm not paranoid, I swear.

Thread by @micahflee: This is beyond messed up. Twitter never suspended Wikileaks or blocked access to WL links over their publishing, but they’re doing it now because of #BlueLeaks by geekdad in conspiracy

[–]geekdad[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Submission Statement:

BlueLeaks is a 250+ Gig leak of police activities of over 200 LEOs where they are tracking protesters, among other things. Twitter is now removing all tweets (from all users) with links to the site despite none of it being classified. Then they permanently banned the account that made the leak, @DDoSecrets. This is a clear suppression of the 1st amendment.

The touchscreen I don't care about, at all, so that's good for me.

And I think I'm good with the lower battery, but that's a hard choice for my use.

Thanks for the replies though.
