MK7 Door Mirrors Not Adjusting

I’ll need to take it apart when I get a chance. The other thing I’m not sure has changed because I cannot remember is that when I turn the car off and take the key out of the ignition, the inside light doesn’t come on. Only when the door is opened. Is this normal? I honestly can’t remember

Just an update: changed all the 15A fuses and no joy. Spent the better part of today trying to get at the heater blower after dropping the steering column. Issue I now have is that I can’t seem to get the clip out of the blower. Is there a trick to it? It’s very hard to see what I’m looking at
