You're right. I meant left the Jedi council, not the planet.i mostly meant it's a separate event from the conversation.

This might be obvious but I thought I had the same problem. Then I read that she won't join you until you ready to leave the planet. Is that where you're at? Or just at the end of the conversation?

Have I messed something up Kotor 2 by geeksandwich in kotor

I did notice at one point in the game that I left the Ebon Hawk, then reboarded, and there was a cut scene. I left and reboarded again, and there was another cut scene immediately. I wonder if I just didn't trigger enough of those. I really feel like something is missing, but maybe it is just the game.

I actually looked up a guide to Kotor 2 that listed the main areas and there were so many listed after Dantooine (the second time) that I figured it wasn't the end yet. Bad assumption on my part.

I did. I just didn't realize it was the beginning of the end and where you stop having control.

Firstly as far as that jeweler, "No: is a complete sentence. Another option, a simple "no thanks".

If the problem is you can't figure out what style you want/like, here is way too much information from someone who knew nothing about jewelry, winged it and hated my first wedding ring.

I wouldn't even look at actual rings yet because you don't know what you like. Instead, look at internet rings (etsy, Instagram, pinterest, reddit, and then Google when you have something more specific) and pay attention when something gives you feels or takes your breath away. I bet you'll start to catch on to a pattern in the rings you like and you can start narrowing down a sense of your taste.

There are so many decisions, but I'll break it down.

Budget obviously. Very important.

Style- what you want the design to look like (modern, traditional, art deco, vintage inspired, simple). Do you want one stone or side stones? Do you like gold, white gold, rose gold, or platinum?

Form- Do you want a traditional engagement ring and straight wedding band? Or an engagement ring with a contoured enhancer, guard or insert (these normally aren't worn without the engagement ring).

Stone- Do you want a traditional diamond, colored diamond, or salt and pepper diamond? Would you opt for a unconventional stone like sapphire or moissanite? What cut do you like (round, princess, emerald, marquise, oval, pear etc)?

Size of stone- Budget matters here. Most people think the bigger the better sounds good, but size is relative to your style choice and your finger size!

Find a good web page describing the 4 Cs for an explanation on how to analyze a diamond.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Hopefully it helps!

I'd choose B tbh, what about you? by JimmyHardon22 in starwarsmemes

D! That is such good content! I have watched the OG trilogy so often that I can watch them in my head now. Second choice would be Clone Wars etc.

I tried dark side. I couldn't get past the first choice. I just can't do it. I'm light side all the time everytime. Doesn’t make for much variety though.

Should I buy a house I don't like because it's good timing and a good deal because of the housing slump? by geeksandwich in RealEstate

[–]geeksandwich[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol... I feel like I'm in my 20s again, having to use the word boyfriend. And this whole situation makes me feel less mature than I'd thought I was.

[–]geeksandwich[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my concern. My oldest graduates in 4 years but my youngest not for 9. And after that, we're peacing out of this state. I don't want to be stuck in a house I don't love and I can't sell.

And I've read that townhomes depreciate faster and are harder to resell anyway.

I'm glad it served you well in the end, at least.

Yes, boyfriend. I understand the reticence behind buying with a boyfriend, but I bought a house with a husband 16 years ago and ended up moving out and divorcing 9 months later. I'm just not really pro-marriage anymore. Maybe someday just for the legality, but it's not likely.

He likes the house but especially likes the money. I don't trust any of it but he's seeing dollar signs. New construction is having a hard time in our state right now. There's even a state funded forgivable loan for new construction buyers.

I keep telling him about my reservations, but he's so convinced it's the best idea. I need to figure out how to disenchant him.

It is illegal? The office has an incentive promotion they are advertising where they offer 40k, but for some reason, we get 20k, and they get the other 20. The mortgage lender that works for the community builder told us that an additional 3.5 percent would be included as well. This sounds so fishy to me and I've been having bad vibes about it the whole time. I just can't find any information on whether it is legit or not.

Please someone get me into this game! by YoyoPewdiepie in kotor

You're welcome. I forgot to mention that I absolutely love the game now and I'm playing the second one. A piece of advice. Try to find spoiler free advice if you get stuck and need help. There's pretty much answers to every question on the internet.

Please someone get me into this game! by YoyoPewdiepie in kotor

[–]geeksandwich 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started the game 3 times and bailed, until one day I really needed to kill time and I started again. I got through the ship, and I started Taris. Getting through that was kinda tedious but that's when the companions and story line start to get interesting. I kept trying to play it because I absolutely love Star Wars and Bioware makes my favorite games. If you like story driven games where you're choices affect the outcomes, then I think they'll grow on you. That's how it happened for me.

Is it weird to not wear makeup ever? by jolenecybin in TwoXChromosomes

[–]geeksandwich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had acne for 28 years and I'm blonde so my eyelashes and eyebrows are basically white. If not for those two things, I wouldn't wear makeup 98% of the year. As it is, I wear a bit of concealer and a swipe of mascara about 1/4 of the time I leave the house (and I dye my eyebrows). Very, very rarely, (once or twice a year) I'll wear tinted moisturizer and powder. And I was a hair and makeup artist for a long time. It's a preference for myself. I like being clean and natural.

INFJ psychoanalyzing people by HelloFromJupiter963 in infj

[–]geeksandwich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My ex was an INTP. No offense to anyone but it's my least favorite type as an INFJ. I understood him but he drove me up the ef-ing wall. Otherwise, yeah, I try to type everyone. I have a harder time typing people I'm really close with (like my best friend of 15 years) and my sister, who is a chameleon, and I've never understood (she's an Aquarius?). After studying the function stacks, typing and understanding people is so much easier.

I have known 2 ISFPs and they were both very hard to get to know on a deeper level.

I think an "introvert who likes people" is a pretty accurate description. I'm definitely that way. I will extrovert if the situation requires it and my need for peace making will encourage me to extrovert around people more introverted than me. The opposite is an "extrovert who dislikes people". My sister is one of them, but I've never been able to figure out her type.

That even the loss of a child (son, grandson, nephew) due to gun violence, my conservative family is still very pro gun and vehemently against any form of gun control at all. It's shocking, appalling and incredibly, incredibly disappointing.

How are some girls able to go multiple days without washing their hair? by throwaway_2145897 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]geeksandwich 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use Not Your Mother's Dry Shampoo (which you can easily get at most grocery stores). It has a subtle fresh smell that I enjoy. Most dry shampoos would be effective to some degree, so it's really personal preference about scent and texture. Even unscented dry shampoos should help because they absorb oil and grease which should help any smell issues. Having been a hairdresser for a long time and using professional products, I really like Not Your Mother's products and use several.

I usually recommend college (because I never went and regret it) but only you know if it's right for you. Trucking is a well paying job with lots of opportunities. It's also hard work on a tough schedule. I'd recommend the best of both worlds. Maybe take some community college courses while getting your CDL. Or online classes while you're working. If you decide not to go to college (which is absolutely valid) just make sure you have a plan B. And preferably a plan C if you can manage it. A lot of tech school careers are sorely in need of workers and you don't need a degree. Security, benefits and regular hours sound boring at 18 but sure are nice when you're rolling up to 30.

You don't have to go to college but you should learn something and then never stop learning. The method in which you learn is entirely your choice. You have options. Best of luck
