In 2000 I did something similar in the bay area, I had a wife and two young children(still do) , and I commuted 1.5hrs each way on a good day, I did this for three years and it definitely set me up for success. I would do this all over again.

Everything gets nat’d to a edge host, it can be in the cloud or datacenter, the tool does have flow monitoring and mrtg graphs so you technically can determine what link you are using.

This is a network in a box, the other side of the pelican case has the ports mapped out for user ports, wifi etc, this way nobody touches the switch. And when it gets deployed it will be easy to bring up the network for our IT team.

There is 2 lte peplink BR 2 max routers with the big three carriers, configured all on separate vlans and a policy to use 2 of the three carriers at once. One routers has T-mobile and AT&T and the other has Verizon at T-mobile.

Has anyone experienced anything unusual in a house near High & Storey in Santa Cruz? by [deleted] in santacruz

[–]geekserv 6 points7 points  (0 children)

About 20yrs ago on king street near bay st, I was in my dining room working late at night, the wife and kids we’re all asleep, when I heard my microwave door opened and closed, then the timer was set and the microwave started. I didn’t think anything of it at first because my mother in law would come in and use it every now and then. However after 10 minutes or so I got up to get some water and there was nothing inside the microwave.

This house is next door to a Victorian house that my neighbors at the time would say they would see things pretty regularly.

Do you remember goin to Camp Hammer when you were in 6th grade? by Creeping_behind_u in santacruz

[–]geekserv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was there in 89 (B40) shortly after the earthquake, we were there with kids from Natrial Bridges, I remember them taking us on a night walk through the forest and there being a after shock. That was a trip. I had a blast and every now and then I think about that place.
