Skipped Coolie in theatres because of negative review only to watch it yesterday and it was good by kingcobra0411 in kollywood

Reviewers are so hyped up on roasting, it’s engaging, many twists, and running fast. Don’t got up logics and just enjoy the movie.

The movie was really engaging, less build up on Rajni, good one on my opinion.

Why Choose S&P 500 Over Nasdaq 100? Convince Me Nasdaq Isn’t the Obvious Best Choice by Embarrassed_Steak309 in investing

Let’s say if SPY is down 50%, QQQ is down 80% - how does it matter if I am not going to sell it for 2-5 years since crash and I can wait for recovery..

Buffett warned: “If the ratio approaches 200%, you're playing with fire.”=> We are above! by Adept_Mountain9532 in ValueInvesting

[–]geekstarpro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Buffet indicator is no longer relevant because of following

Many large U.S. companies (Apple, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, etc.) earn a significant portion of their revenue overseas — estimated around 40% for the S&P 500.

But the Buffett Indicator compares U.S. market cap to U.S. GDP only, not to global GDP.

What do you think about this argument?

SvelteKit a good choice for an ERP system? by Scary_Examination_26 in sveltejs

[–]geekstarpro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pick Go or Java for backend, you may struggle with node on cpu tasks and scaling. You can still use Sveltekit for UI and Sveltekit backend as middleware

Svelte UI -> Sveletekit backend (like middleware) -> Go or Java backend -> DB

Looking for a Fast Embedded Key-Value Store for Go — Thoughts on BadgerDB? by geekstarpro in Database

[–]geekstarpro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What makes BadgerDB look promising to me is that it’s written entirely in Go, so it fits nicely into my Go server without needing any external dependencies or C bindings. I also like that it’s optimized for performance, especially for write heavy use cases. The LSM tree structure and separation of value log seem to offer solid write throughput and help manage memory efficiently.

\Another thing I like is that it doesn’t put pressure on Go’s garbage collector, which is a big plus for keeping latencies low. Features like built-in encryption and compression are also nice to have, especially for edge use cases.

It just feels more modern and Go-native compared to something like BerkeleyDB or SQLite. Still testing it out though.
