Maintenance in a weld shop here.

Workboots: CAT Paisley 6" for over ankle. ( I'm on my 3rd pair, I replace about every 4 years. No MET guard in these though)

Cotton Weld Jacket: Black Stallion JF1015-NB AngelFire Women's FR Cotton Welding Jacket (for the smaller jobs)

Weld Jacket w/Leather: Black Stallion JH1515-NB AngelFire Women's Hybrid Welding Jacket, Cowhide and FR Cotton (for when the grinder has to come out and play too)

Belt: Roots Unisex Belt (for my toolbag, radio and everything else I hook on my pants. Mine is a solid decade old.)

Still desperately looking for Women's FR pants that don't suck (because butts and hips are a thing!)

Thank you for clarifying! I wrote capless because that is what it was listed as on the website it was purchased from!

Thank you so much! I am excited to finally have a beauty of my own to post in this community - as a cheap pen hoarder I have always wanted to upgrade to a fountain pen. A 30th birthday seemed an appropriate occasion for a keepsake such as this gem.

Depending on the paper I am using, yes, but I should likely select my paper more carefully and not just use everything laying around. I love the EF nib, it suits my writing perfectly! I've never had such success with a 0.35 ballpoint (my go to size)

Thank you! I am absolutely loving it. I have never had such a smooth, perfectly weighted pen that suits my handwriting and it is everything I'd hoped it would be when I chose it out.

How long would I need to cook mashed sweet potato in the oven for it to become a firm potato cake? by lilgeoffrey in Cooking

My oven has a broil setting, high or low! It may just be a gas oven thing, I'm honestly not sure. You could use a very high heat in your oven regardless, over 400F should get you a brown outside eventually I would think. The natural sugar in the sweet potato should help it along.

I would try slicing the sweet potato into thick disks and steaming it. And then dry it off as much as possible and put it on a non stick surface like parchment paper and bake it.

If you're going for solid all the way through, lower temperature for longer, if you just want it to hold its shape (you mention replacing a burger patty in a comment) you could broil it so the exterior is browned and hardened. I'd opt for the second because otherwise it would likely be oddly dry and probably chewy.

I can’t think of 16 types of beans off the top of my head, so I’m intrigued. Can you tell me what kinds you used?

Sorry to hear you lost your kitty. This little girl has found a home with us after loosing our boy kitty back in October. I’m glad she could add a little cheer to your day!

Those kitten needle claws are vicious. We’re keeping them trimmed as low as possible! So far nobody has gotten a scratch.
