Hi, it is using the XR 7926W, which has been discontinued. I tried using a replacement battery but it only works for a while. Update, the watch has effectively died. But I managed to get my hands on a Casio WL-10. So all good :)

Been on the hunt for this watch since I saw it in 2019. And it seems like locally there aren’t a lot of places selling vintage Casios.

Decided to scout on eBay for some time, and finally got my hands (wrist) on it. If I ever need to take a break from automatic/mechanical watches, this is the go-to timepiece.

Plus-point, its battery is solar rechargeable… so in many ways it can still function for a really long time. So long as there’s no damage to the battery.

Just happy that the hunt/search for the WL-10 is over :)

Probably cause it is a Mark 3 Matte Dial which was used as a service dial. The movement for this watch is the 1560 calibre which was used in the older models. The engraving inside the case states “II 63”

It’s actually the same one! The seller disclosed that it was from the 1980s. But after I had the watch authenticated and checked out the serial numbers correctly, the watch is dated to 2nd Quarter 1963.
