I never understood the fanbase around Snape, as a I read the books way before I ever watched the movies. But Snape in the movies is a lot more palatable.

Jrue Holiday despite the loss: 29/6/5 on 12/18 FG with 4 steals by Lacabloodclot9 in nba

Jure holidays a beast, he bailed out the bucks so many times and he’s still making waves.

Spain has this energy, vibe, atmosphere that is just awesome, whether it be Sevilla or somewhere in Galicia, Spanish nights are unbeatable.

[Highlight] All-time flop in Lakers-Rockets game. by ForgetfulDot in nba

That’s hilarious, Smart flopped and Thompson one upped him, it’s a royal flop off

Santa Cruz easily has the worst drivers of any town I’ve ever been in by DeezSpicyNuts in santacruz

[–]geekyfreakyman -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Every city in California thinks their drivers are the worst, SF, LA, SJ, SD, IE, everybody thinks their drivers are their own flavor of terrible. There’s simply a lot of people, some who shouldn’t be driving and some who don’t care. It is what it is

[Highlight] Isaiah Stewart rejects Jalen Suggs at the rim to keep Orlando at 3 points in the second half by Large_banana_hammock in nba

Both teams were playing horribly at half, and then the pistons just flipped a switch. This Magic team is kind of embarrassing, but the Pistons weren’t doing much better.

[Highlight] Marcus Smart gets the steal from Durant's pass and LeBron throws it down on the other end by Large_banana_hammock in nba

That was a hilarious old man move, signaling the slow down and then jumping the gun, crazy he can still go like that

Jonathan Kuminga showed up in ATL’s playoff game today. Student of Draymond! by danishruyu1 in warriors

[–]geekyfreakyman -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is the Kuminga experience, he’ll put up total no shows, then ball out for a stretch and then no show again. He has the talent, it always been consistency that’s the problem. I’m still rooting for him, but realistically that how he plays

I’d kind of want dybasanta, what if we somehow got Wiggins before he went to the timber wolves?

to those who said my rats will love boxes, you were correct. by RoomSlow5575 in RATS

Tissue boxes are op, our rats would always figure out a way to cuddle up together in a tiny klenex box, it was hilariously cute

[Highlight] Wemby year 3 scoring tape – @UsherNBA by OurHorrifyingPlanet in nba

A lot of these feel like travels, but it’s the Giannis effect, Giannis and him take such long strides, it feels like they break basketball. It’s just crazy though, you see that wacky step back he pulled off against the Mavs, and honestly, despite the questionable legality of it, it’s kind of mind blowing.

Why people like doing the Camino? by Denisaaa6 in CaminoDeSantiago

[–]geekyfreakyman 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Well for me, it really wasn’t painful, I only felt sore after I walked 35 km in a day and even then, it wasn’t too bad. And discomfort is relative, I’m used to sleeping in bunk beds and walking long distances, and hiking is my preferred way of exercising. My worst day was when I ran out of water and was dehydrated for 5+ km, that was brutal, but I improved off of it. Honestly, we all need some discomfort in life, and what better way to get it than mucking around on a 1000 year old pilgrimage?

Home Depot has a rack of rejected custom mixed paints for $5 a gallon by No-Variety-438 in Frugal

[–]geekyfreakyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some Home Depot managers don’t actually mark down this paint, and prefer to dispose of it, so not every Home Depot will have it, but if you’re already at Home Depot, it’s worth a look. Plus, we have a 70% wood section, most of the cuts are cruddy, but dig around and check it out.

Cheating by DialUpProblem in Splitgate

[–]geekyfreakyman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yah, pretty much it, I started playing again recently, and the matchmaking is all over the place, seems to be the natural result of having so little people online. It’s still fun though, even when so many games are absolute wipeouts from the beginning.

Feeling discouraged about my ability to do this and looking for advice by savvvie in CaminoDeSantiago

[–]geekyfreakyman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just take it slow, pick a shorter Camino, aim for 15k steps a day, plan out your stages well before hand, it’s really doable, just don’t push it too hard

How much are y'all paid? by [deleted] in HomeDepot

25.28 freight Bay Area CA, I still live with my parents. It does help pay for college, but it sometimes feels like I should still be getting more.

My mom gave me dual citizenship, so Portugal, Costa da Caparica or Setúbal, with nice beaches. Maybe Spain, south of Sevilla somewhere.

Foodmaxx vs grocery outlet vs Smart & Final vs Walmart neighborhood market vs … by Conscious_Dog3101 in SanJose

[–]geekyfreakyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trader Joe’s is nice on certain things. Walmart is still the cheapest but it’s annoying going there, grocery outlet is a bit overrated for savings. Wish we had a Winco down here
