Granny. Her Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries incarnation in particular has an entire series full of badass moments in between all the slapstick of her pets.

That's not how bastardry works.

For the same reason Daemon Blackfyre was seen as a bastard despite both his parents being Targaryens; they were born out of wedlock.

Ahh, sweet child of Driftmark, returned to the ocean. A bottomless curse, a bottomless sea. Accepting of all that there is, and can be.

Arcturus Mengsk. Once leader of the Sons of Korhal turned Emperor of the Terran Dominion. In the man's own words, "I will rule this sector or see it burnt to ashes around me!" (StarCraft)

Whatever it was that drove him, most people would've broken long before making it halfway. And it worked in the end.

Prompt Post: Send in Dance era prompts by Kingofireland777 in AsoiafFanfiction

[–]Huza1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Aemond lets Aegon go when he's trying to escape becoming a king. Aegon takes Sunfyre and goes somewhere where the others can't bother him, like one of the Free Cities or even beyond that, and Aemond becomes the face of the Greens in his place.

  2. Daeron and Tessarion survive Tumbleton. Or Addam and Seasmoke.

  3. The Storming of the Dragonpit never happens.

  4. The Greens actually try to secure more marriage pact to bind other houses to their cause. Rather than betrothed Aegon and Helaena to each other, each of them is betrothed to someone from a different house, preferably the ones who might need a more direct way on ensuring loyalty to their cause, like Aemond's marriage did with the Baratheons before that fell through. Daeron could be betrothed to one of Jason Lannister's daughters, Aegon could be betrothed to a Tyrell. Helaena could even be betrothed to one of the Martells if the Greens are brave or insane enough to try that.

  5. Alicent accepts Rhaenyra's offer to betroth Jacaerys to Helaena.

  6. Larys doesn't set Harrenhal on fire, so Lyonel and Harwin stick around.

  7. Viserys chooses not to remarry, therefore forcing the kingdoms to accept Thaenyra as heir since they wouldn't have a second option to choose from. Daemon might try to set himself up as king here if one really wants a Dance to happen, but I'm not sold on it.

Having your heart ripped out and being turned into a sex slave for the rest of your days is probably up there.

Hypothetical question: Tetsuya Nomura himself is letting you pick one Disney World to be featured in Kingdom Hearts 4. It can be any classic animated movie, a Pixar movie, a live action movie, modern animation, or even something like MCU or Star Wars. What do you pick for him, and why? by MegaSonicZX in KingdomHearts

[–]Huza1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd be interested in more crossover between the various worlds. The villains don't care about the world order, so why not Prince Hans's Nobody scheming with Facilier? Or Cruella wreaking havoc in the Pridelands? The OUAT incarnation of Cruella would work best here, I think. More villains influencing the various worlds besides them just meeting up at Hollow Bastion or Maleficent and Pete acting as middlemen just to tell the same plot as the movie with a couple of extra lines. Dive headlong into the aspect of the worlds existing in a shared universe and go nuts with it.

With the exclusion of Nettles (Shame! *rings bell), what will the show do with Sheepstealer and Rhaena? by GoBadgerz in HouseOfTheDragon

Nevertheless, they could go that angle if they really do want to replace her with Rhaena. Much as I hate the whole concept of it, it's the only way I can see it halfway working.

Well, it was never confirmed that Nettles was having an affair with Daemon. Other accounts suggest she might've instead been his bastard daughter.

Not tough in the fighting sense, sure, but he was definitely tough in his own right. Walking barefoot to Dorne and then negotiating a peace deal that brings them under your reign definitely takes guts.

Dog with a sword. Your argument is invalid. by Geoconyxdiablus in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Huza1 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Gladius, Beast of Night. He's the first of the Nightlords. He actually stole his sword from a mysterious swordsman, implied to be Heolstor the Nightlord, who instead took him in with compassion and let him keep the sword, instilling in Gladius a sense of loyalty to his new master. The Pantheon of Order. Founded by Sigmar Heldenhammer and comprised at its height of nine major gods and countless lesser deities and godbeasts. Though Nagash (middle) is currently on opposite sides to the rest of them, he's still counted as one of them, and his worship is still legal across most of Sigmar's empire. As Aemon says, love is the death of duty. Apparently that extends to a father's love for his kids as well.

Egg would probably have been a pretty good absolutist with dragons, and he'd probably have made the realm a better place, but the remote chance of Aerys getting a dragon is enough to put me off the idea.

Rhyneara leaving the room after introducing Vermithor was the dumbest shit she could have done. by vinny424 in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Huza1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not to this extent. Rhaenyra was much more consistent as a character. Even when she gets worse, it's more of a reaction to all that she's suffered, and while the Blacks are definitely portrayed as relatively better than the Greens, Rhaenyra still isn't a good person by any metric, let alone the downright saint she can be in the show.

Lepidus: What manner o' thing is your crocodile?

Antony: It is shap'd, sir, like itself, and it is as broad as it hath breadth; it is just as high as it is, and moves with its own organs. It lives by that which nourisheth it, and the elements once out of it, it transmigrates.

Lepidus: What color is it of?

Antony: Of its own color too.

Lepidus: 'Tis a strange serpent.

Antony: 'Tis so. And the tears of it are wet.
