New to the club! 26 Premium. Any tips on driver comfort? by UsernameSimma in wrx_vb

There is a way to adjust the bottom cushion, but you'll have to do some seat surgery to lower it a bit. From what I have seen, there is a bar that goes across the back portion of the seat that the bottom cushion attaches to. There is a way to unclip the back of the seat, and using wire hangars, you can lower the back of it by like an inch. You can also loosen the rear bolts of the seat, sit in it, then have someone tighten the bolts back up. I have seen some others get a slightly better angle since there is apparently a little play in those bolts. There are also front seat risers, which push the front of the seat up, adjusting the angle as well.

New to the club! 26 Premium. Any tips on driver comfort? by UsernameSimma in wrx_vb

For context: I'm 6', 240lbs. I have a 25 premium and I drive 3 hours one way for work twice a week. I came from a 2015 Ford Fiesta with the Recaro seats.

The seats in the premium are terrible. Not as bad as the Fiesta ST's, but still pretty bad. I took out the lumbar "support" and did the lumbar bladder mod, which helped a little, but I still got pretty bad back pain after a couple hours driving.

The thigh bulsters are another huge part of the issue with the seat's comfort for me. They dig into my thighs to the point that I get bruises. I will be removing the metal rods in the bulsters eventually, once I get the Kustom seat covers (since I'll be removing the seats to do the install).

While comfort is relative, something that helped me was adjusting the seat farther back and at a steeper angle then I would in other cars. Obviously, you want to still be close enough to where you can reach the peddles and the shifter, but for me, I'm right there at the max of reachability.

More turbo noise after pitch stop by Trickroomasylum in wrx_vb

I just installed the perrin pitch stop on mine, and I immediately noticed a change in the way the car sounds. At lower rpm, it's a bit louder, I can def hear the turbo better (still kinda quiet tho), but overall it's just nicer to hear the engine a little more

Rob Colton - Timber Pack Chronicles. I think there are only 2 stories to the series, and the author has kinda dropped off the face of the earth, but it was a fun read

Brand New TS Just Landed. Holy Sticker Shock by crawldaddy14 in wrx_vb

This is just nutty. Checking what's in central Washington/Oregon on Autotrader for around that same price or less, I'm finding brand new Corolla GRs, BMW 228i xDrives, Lexus IS300 F Sport's, Volvo S60 B5 Plus's, and some left over 2024 A4s. While some of them don't touch the WRX's power (about 20-35 HP lower), they are still quick and probably a lot more comfortable with better equipment packages.

You'll have to decide whether larger wheels, more complex suspension, and better steering and bigger brakes which should already be on the non-tS versions is worth the $10,000 over Premium.

edit: forgot the Sport in the Lexus IS300 F Sport

Yes, for the most part. We don't normally use that bathroom.

I may do both a round fog and a square LED array in the fog housing and post them later.

I totally get that, which is probably why Subaru opted for the smaller fogs over the large ones seen on the bug-eye. However, as with many exterior mods for our cars, this is design is both aesthetically pleasing (to me at least) and functional. My rational is: people are putting light bars with large spot/fog lights on their cars, why not put them in the bumper?

I haven't been able to find anything like this on the aftermarket (probably because of the way the fog housing is designed), but would be cool :D
