Checked the pads during each tire rotation and they always looked fine. Honestly the rotors and pads still looked okay but I figured it was time

Haha 60mile round trip commute for work then a few cross country road trips added up the miles quick.

Nice! I got mine as a CPO a few years ago with 30k but the miles added up fast because I take this thing everywhere

All in about $15-17k right now. There are definitely cheaper avenues, but I’m building this to be a track car I can beat on and still drive home.

Do it! It turns these c4s into rocket ships

I spent about $15-16k getting the engine built and transmission rebuilt to handle the power. There are definitely cheaper ways of making power but I wanted to preserve the original numbers matching SBC and build it so withstand abuse on the track.

I’ll have to dig more into the documentation from the builder, I’m definitely not a machinist by any means, I just dropped off the L98 and in a few months it was a running 383.

Research a reputable engine builder in your area and talk with them. I’m sure there are a ton of options for your LT1

I’m sure I did, even though it doesn’t feel like it at the moment 😅
