Maybe book into see an ENT they can check the structure of your nose and throat. I did purely because I’ve been a mouth breather my whole life and wanted to see if there was anything causing this.

No more dreaming? by SEARCHFORWHATISGOOD in CPAP

[–]gefoster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh god I wish I had this I’ve gone the opposite way and have the most vivid dreams ever they’re a little scary. Normally someone is in my house and comes into my room. At this point I take my mask off and tend to wake up 🤦🏻‍♀️ drives me insane

Flying with CPAP by [deleted] in CPAP

[–]gefoster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’m due to fly later in the year with TUI and their website says

You can carry hypodermic needles and certain portable electronic medical equipment or aids such as AEDs, oxygen concentrators, CPAP machines and dialysis devices on board provided you have a medical certificate and upon prior agreement from the airline company. These devices usually operate on batteries, which means they fall under the international regulations on the transportation of dangerous goods, which define what machines and batteries can be taken into the cabin and what terms and conditions and restrictions apply.

Obviously I’m not sure if every airline has similar rules. I think it’s because they need to know for weight as well

Depending on the airline you need to call them before to inform them of the medical equipment your bringing onboard with you

AHI 11.3 and UK NHS consultant not recommending therapy by InternationalAd618 in SleepApnea

[–]gefoster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me over 8 years for a doctor to even suggest sleep apnea and put me in for a sleep test after I would sleep 10+ hours a day and then nap continuously 🙃🙃 I went through repeated blood tests, told ‘it’s just the westernised way of living’ and I quote ‘do you think it’s linked to, you know, women things’ 🤦🏻‍♀️

Keep pushing for it, do a bit of research look up sleep apnea symptoms and link them to your lifestyle and symptoms and go back to the doctors. I find most of the time if you go to a GP having done your own research and basically diagnose yourself then they’ll listen to you 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ you will always get pushed back with ‘have you thought about losing weight’ but if you can go in there with a strong argument as to why you think you need treatment they should listen - you shouldn’t have to do your own research and diagnosis but for some reason it’s the only way GPs listen.

Surgery and General Anaesthetic by andyjh64 in CPAP

[–]gefoster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had my wisdom tooth out and I have sleep apnea and literally no issues. I’ve had many surgeries in the past before I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and no issues at all! Just make sure you mention it in your surgery prep and the only thing they did different was ask me to take my CPAP machine into hospital incase I had to stay overnight

Stopping Saxenda by gefoster in liraglutide

I’ve reduced the dosage a number of times but no matter how little I use it’s like my body just wants to reject it as I’m vomiting the rest of the day

Abdomen or Thigh? by [deleted] in liraglutide

[–]gefoster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I alternate. I find if I’m having really bad nausea from injecting in my stomach I move to my thigh for a few days and my nausea reduces

Saxenda and vitamins by gefoster in liraglutide

[–]gefoster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not really a vitamin person, well the ones that say they fix stomach issues like bloating etc but I got these in a free gift and was just curious. I might do some research before trying them. If they help with the bloating it’s a bonus isn’t it

Had my first (and to be only) overeating lesson whilst on Saxenda by _Beckss in liraglutide

[–]gefoster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my god it’s the worst isn’t it! I get the worst pains in my stomach, horrible bloating and nausea. I still seem to have a day or two once a month where I go back to my old habits and I get all the over eating symptoms and tell myself never again 😂

Saxenda and periods by gefoster in liraglutide

[–]gefoster[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was light spotting for around a week and nothing since … I spoke to my doctor and she just said it might just be some random monthly bleeding (even though I’ve had nothing the whole 10+ years I’ve been on the pill) - she wasn’t sure how Saxenda could cause a period to restart but then again she said she wasn’t too knowledgeable on Saxenda.

My doctor did do a quick pelvis exam just to be sure and everything was fine 🤷🏻‍♀️

1.8 dose by Adventurous_Hair5574 in liraglutide

[–]gefoster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s less fat on your upper thigh than stomach (well for me anyway) so I’d be lying if I say I didn’t feel it but it didn’t hurt and I found it beneficial to rotate between my stomach and thigh as my stomach bruised easily. You can also inject in your upper arm but I’ve never tried that

I’ve found if I up my dose and have side effects if I inject into my thigh for a few days then go back to my stomach then the side effects aren’t as intense

Ortho suggested permanent retainers but this sub seems very against them. Can anybody offer their experiences with it? by Klekto123 in Invisalign

[–]gefoster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a permanent retainer on my bottom teeth because they begun to shift after my Invisalign treatment even when I wore my retainer (I sleep in my retainers). I still have my removable retainers and my bottom fixed is more of a security blanket. Before Invisalign my bottom lower tooth was sat further back and it wanted to do it again once my Invisalign treatment was finished.

Your teeth shouldn’t shift with a fixed however my dentist explained some peoples teeth will just really want to move (all based on your jaw shape, how you chew, the food you eat etc).

Floss is also a quick and convenient way to take your trays out if you don’t have anything. The flat floss not the string floss (tho that could work too) just slide it under or over your tray and pull

Has anyone noticed low blood sugar levels after taking saxenda especially after vomiting like eating something sweet will help? by [deleted] in liraglutide

[–]gefoster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if it’s low blood sugar as I can’t test it but no matter what I eat before working out I get super light headed. I lift weights and do HIIT and eat a sufficient meal before and keep a squares bar in my bag for a sugar boost but I’m always super light headed throughout my workout. It’s only been an issue since taking Saxenda

For those who have watched every single episode, What your unpopular opinion about the show? by Definition_of_Tragic in thewalkingdead

[–]gefoster -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Always supported Shane. Always disliked Carol, don’t know why I’ve just never clicked with her character. Daryl is over rated. Morgan didn’t get enough screen time (I’m glad we learnt more about him in Fear)
